Please not as of 01/07/24 I am not currently accepting new clients. I am a qualified Child and Adolescent Art Psychotherapist working with young people aged 5 to 18. I trained in UCD, earning an MSc in Child Art Psychotherapy. Subsequently I engaged in advanced clinical training in the School of Psychotherapy, St. Vincent’s University Hospital. I have clinical experience working on a CAMHS team, as well as working in private practice and offering psychotherapy within a post-primary school setting. I am a Registered Member of BACP and an Accredited Member of ACAP.
Child Art Psychotherapy, or ‘CAP,’ is a method of art psychotherapy developed for young people experiencing an array of emotional and mental health difficulties. It combines art-making with talk therapy to help young people explore their inner worlds and gain insight into current difficulties and past experiences. It is a gentle, child-led form of therapy.
I offer a safe, confidential therapeutic space where young people can explore, communicate, and work towards a better understanding of their feelings and experiences. CAP is appropriate and effective for young people struggling with: anxiety, depression, behaviour difficulties, trauma, attachment difficulties, or loss.
