The way I work is guided by the values of curiosity, creativity, and compassion. My aim is to offer you a freeing, non-judgemental environment where you can really be yourself; a safe space where you are encouraged to explore, question and grow in your own time; where every experience, feeling and part of you is welcome, particularly those ones that have been out in cold. At the start, the process can be like a ball of yarn, with many different threads tangled together. We will collaborate to unravel these threads, weaving them into something that makes more sense and is hopefully more manageable.
I’m an integrative therapist, with specialised training in the therapeutic use of writing and a background in education. I’m also a gay man, visual thinker, music lover, and diversity trainer. All these parts of me inform how I work with people, underpinned by a passion for helping others to embrace who they are and live more freely and contentedly.
A thread amongst many of the people I’ve worked with has been a creative/artistic/writerly/musical streak or background. Creativity can be joyous while also bringing us into contact with things like self-doubt, fear, blocks, fatigue, and sometimes crossroads around work and career choices. If you’d like some support for your creative life, drop me a line.

From a past client: "I worked with Simon for over 2 years during a period of significant change in my life. I arrived carrying old baggage and a lot of uncertainty. Whichever therapeutic approach I draw on, my primary aim is always to meet you first and foremost as a fellow human being, not a diagnosis or set of problems to be 'fixed.' Let's be curious about who you are and who you might yet become.
