I am a psychotherapist, working with adults in Waterford city, I also work online. I have worked with clients therapeutically developing self-esteem, self-compassion and self-worth. I work in an integrative manner to support and empower the client. I aim to provide a safe, non-judgmental, confidential, therapeutic space to explore what is uniquely you. This is not a perfect process; it is as unique and individual as you are. Together, we will explore the issues you bring, and work collaboratively to find your way forward and what works for you.
Although I work with many presenting issues therapeutically. I have a special interest in working with trauma and survivors of sexual violence. I participate regularly in training in this area. Most recent are EMDR Levels 1,2, &3 • Rape Crisis Network Ireland – Sexual Violence Specialisation • Domestic Violence Intervention Training
I work primarily in a person-centred, trauma informed manner. In conjunction with the client, I also work integratively, often introducing other approaches such as EMDR, CBT, Psychodynamic theories, or Psychoeducation. At all times the client is at the centre of the work.
