I am a qualified counsellor and am fully accredited with Addiction Counsellor's of Ireland. I am based in Portlaoise and can work face-to-face or online. I have a Degree in Addiction with Counselling skills, an Honours Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and a Post Graduate Certificate in Gambling Studies and Addiction Recovery, all from ICHAS, Limerick. I have experience with group and 1:1 therapy through practising in Cuan Mhuire,Athy, and with SOSAD in Portlaoise. I believe in the individuality and uniqueness of each person and try to assist my clients to discover an effective, safe, path to recovery.
I am trained in specific recognised, evidence based trauma treatments, EMDR and the Rewind technique. I also have training and experience working with yound people and adolescents from age 12, including neurodiverse clients. I am experienced with addiction but also other issues such as anxiety, depression, bereavement, and other adverse life experiences.
