I am primarily an integrative therapist and believe that as humans we are all unique individuals and therefore not one size fits all when it comes to therapy. I believe that for therapy to be fruitful and for change to occur for a client the therapeutic relationship is crucial and together we need to build a trusting, collaborative relationship. I also have a MA qualification in CBT and definitely have a more directive approach to working with clients and also believe that clients need to be active participants outside of the therapy room in order for real change to come about in their lives
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy … through using CBT in the therapy room I believe clients can become their own therapists and can utilise the tools learned in the therapy room to enhance their lives. Tuning into our thinking and behaving can be a massive step in helping us understand our emotions and give us a stepping stone to change in our lives
