I work with children and adults. As an Art Psychotherapist, I'll use art as a medium to enable clients to communicate in a safe environment and to help them reflect on emotional issues and gain confidence and self-awareness. I use a client centred approach and therefore I would use a variety of treatment to help the client in their therapeutic journey. I am also a qualified EMDR therapist, specialising in trauma. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences.
I work with children and adults with: • Emotional and behavioural difficulties • Learning or physical disabilities • Life-limiting conditions • Mental ill health • Trauma • Neurological conditions • Physical illnesses • Speech and language difficulties
