I work with self-esteem issues, anxiety, panic attacks, low mood, depression, self-harm, stress, relationship issues, grief, loss of any kind, ADHD, Autism and childhood trauma. I also have a special interest in women's peri and postnatal mental health and the difficulties associated with menopause transition. Rarely, there is just one cause for any given issue; that is why I take biological, psychological and social factors into account during our first session. I am committed to finding the approach or combination of approaches that are the right fit for you. Above all, I will listen until you feel heard, understood, and accepted.
Psychotherapy will increase your understanding of how you currently cope in difficult situations, deriving meaning from past or current adversities, and moving towards a life of greater vitality and better relationships. Some of the approaches I use to support you include Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) and Cognitive Behavioural psychotherapy (CBT).
I provide a safe and non-judgemental space where you will feel heard, understood, and respected. I am committed to helping you learn more about yourself and the many factors that may have influenced what you are currently experiencing. Collaboration is key; my focus is on working with you to live a better quality of life. My practice is LGBTQI+ affirming.
