Working psychoanalytically, Niamh attends closely and compassionately to the root causes of a person's difficulties - working through these in a way that promotes deep and meaningful change. Niamh is experienced in working with complexity (long standing difficulties, early trauma) and has a particular interest in working with physical symptoms (chronic pain, functional disorders) where medical treatments have not brought relief.
Niamh is an experienced clinical psychologist, who has worked in the Irish health services for almost 15 years, in mental health and hospital settings. She is nearing completion of further training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. In addition to working therapeutically with adults, she is experienced in teaching in university, health and corporate settings
Niamh sees a small number of clients at a reduced fee for longer term psychotherapy, via the Irish Institute of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. Please find further info here iipp.ie/clinic
