My name is Michelle, I have an MA in Child, Family and Community Studies, and am an accredited Play Therapist. I work holistically with children who experience emotional and / or behavioural problems. Play therapy offers an opportunity to allow a child to play out their feelings. Children are much more comfortable playing out a problem rather than talking about it, Play is the most natural form of communication for a child, therefore is often used in place of talking therapy for children.
I work with children who experience a wide range of issues, including anxiety, autism spectrum, family separation/ divorce, self esteem issues, bereavement/ loss, communication issues, withdrawn, nightmares, bullying, underperformance, delayed development. I offer a safe space for a child, allowing them the freedom to express themselves.
