Hello I’m Mary, welcome to my profile. I am originally from Co Wexford, although I have been living in Cork for twenty years.
In terms of counselling and psychotherapy work, I am experienced in holding space for clients experiencing a combination of the following life struggles; relationship difficulties, self-esteem, confidence, anxiety, bereavement, loss (hope, faith, self, purpose, direction), attachment wounding, abandonment, life change/stage, transition (life and career), confusion, dissatisfaction, aloneness, loneliness, isolation.

Grief and loss are often central themes at the core of presenting issues, the grief of losing parts of ourselves in order to make others happy, fit in and belong, the loss and disappointment we feel when life doesn’t work out as we want it, the relationship that was supposed to last but resulted in a breakup, unmet needs, heartbrokenness and a lost future.
My approach is based on offering presence, gentleness and humanity with the intention of meeting you wherever you are. I like to provide space, which means I am not inclined to rush in, crowd or fix you. I hold a curious, compassionate stance while integrating a dash of humour as we get to know each other. I listen deeply and invite connection with the body.
