Individuals attend counselling due to an issue they are experiencing. Allow me to share at this point, that the Latin root meaning of Issue, "is go out, exit" and move forward, to grow. Different meaning from what we are familiar with. Hear the difference. I am fully accredited with the Irish Counsellors and Psychotherapists IACP and I am an experienced Psychotherapist with at least 15 years experience. The emphasis is placed on trusting the process and allowing the progress to unfold for the desired outcome.
My counselling approach uses evidence based techniques such as: Somatic Experiencing (Currently Completing Advanced Clinical In person training of three years 2023-2026 on the evidence based work on Dr.Peter Levine, author of, "Waking the Tiger". Supported by Bessel van der Kolk, author of, "The Body Keeps Score".
I am a member of Tairseach, Association of Somatic Experiencing Practitioners in Ireland and you can find my name there too. It's an Irish word and implies movement. My approach also includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Energy Healing Technique (Approved by IACP), Person centered Approach,Inner Child Work, Strengths Approach, Choice Theory and more.
