Hi, I’m Maria. I am a qualified and an accredited counsellor and psychotherapist with the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP). I work with adults and adolescents (aged 12 years up). I am an Integrative Counsellor who is firmly rooted in a Person-Centred approach. I utilise different therapies within the process that could be of value to each client, including Mindfulness and CBT techniques. I approach therapy in a person-centred way to each client, allowing you to move at your own pace and make your own decisions, whilst providing a safe, non-judgemental environment for the you to do so.
Central to my clinical practice is the value and significance of the therapeutic relationship. I provide a warm, respectful and reflective space allowing you to be heard, valued, and understood. I support the client to discover, self-explore, and encourage their own self-worth and true self.
Fundamental to my counselling philosophy, is that I believe we are all unique and are the experts in our lives.
