The decision to come to counselling can come about for lots of reasons and circumstances. It can feel like a big step into the unknown. I offer a warm, accepting and compassionate relationship that is respectful of your way of being. We will work together at a pace that supports you to consider a broader view of the difficulties you are facing . Working in this way fosters self-awareness, self-compassion and the real possibility of changing your relationship with yourself and others. This can be hard but feeling accepted and accompanied in exploring your world can offer you the lived experience of more calm, support and choice.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, person centred and nurtures the therapeutic relationship as a central healing influence. I draw on my integrative training to respond to each person's specific needs. Gestalt, mindfulness, somatic experiencing, family constellations, nervous system regulation approaches and awareness development influence my work.
My experience as a client of being encouraged and being genuinely supported was transformative. The offering of this is integral to how I work. My training as a psychotherapist, family constellation supporter, parenting mentor, mindfulness group facilitator, family and community worker and human being grounds me in the wonderful imperfection of life.
