Life is not always straightforward, at times we can feel overwhelmed, stuck or alone. Relationships with others can be complicated and can cause stress, confusion and pain. You don’t have to figure it all out on your own. My name is Maggie and I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist and work with individuals. My aim is to walk alongside you for part of your journey, support you and help identify goals and solutions to issues while seeking to improve communication and coping skills. Counselling provides an opportunity to explore feelings, beliefs and behaviours and to identify aspects that individuals would like to change.
I am an integrative counsellor combining many models of therapy to suit each clients individual needs including Attachment Theory, Internal Family Systems Theory and Psychodynamic Theory. Areas I cover include but are not limited to Anxiety and Depression - Relationship difficulties - Personal Development - Life changes - Bereavement and Loss - Trauma.
Introduced to counselling as a teenager I learned of its positive impact which inspired me to train as a counsellor. Individuals have unique life experiences and wishes and are truly the expert on their own lives. I believe this potential is found through a trusting relationship between client and counsellor which is key to a positive counselling experience
