Trained in Ireland, the UK and the USA I bring a trauma informed approach to my practice. I adhere to a strong ethos of clinical honesty for my clients to recognise their potential. I am an accredited Creative arts psychotherapists (MA) with the Irish association of Creative arts therapists (IACAT). I am also an accredited child and adolescent psychoanalytic psychotherapist (MSc) with the Irish forum of child and adolescent psychoanalytic psychotherapy (IFCAPP). I am a member of the Irish council of psychotherapy (ICP).
I work across all developmental stages: children, adolescents and young adults from 4 yrs to 24 yrs of age and adults 25 yrs+. I also provide parenting support work if the child is under 4 yrs or is unable to attend. I am happy to work with both child and parent(s) in the room if this is beneficial to the child. I also provide pre-birth parent support.
Informed by the two styles of my training my approach uses both the mind and body to get in touch with feelings and behaviour that can be explored in a non-judgemental confidential space. Self awareness and patterns of relationships and attachments are thought about and together we consider how these may influence present experiences.
