It is important to me as a therapist to be guided by your needs. You might have a specific goal such as addressing anxiety, insomnia or relationship issues, or simply be looking for a safe space to tell your story and explore what is meaningful to you at this time in your life. I believe in the fundamental equality of all humans, regardless of their background and life story, and that we all have the potential to grow and change. In my experience, working with each client is different. We can start by discussing what you would like to get from therapy and what I can offer to support you in the process.
My aim is to work with you in a supportive and non-judgemental way to help you gain awareness on how the issues you are experiencing impact on your life. Getting to know yourself often is the first step towards change and a deeper insight into your emotions, behaviours and relational patterns can empower you to make informed choices about your life.
When I contacted a therapist for the first time years ago, I was nervous. It can be daunting to find the right person for you to connect and work with and I would like to offer you a free 15-minute phone call to see if we are a good fit. I also regularly offer opportunities for feedback and to re-evaluate your goals and wishes for our work together.
