I am committed to creating a warm, caring, non-judgmental, safe space to help to build trust so that you can explore and express your thoughts, feelings, behaviours and vulnerabilities. I aim to help you feel seen, heard and understood, to help you to confront challenges, heal wounds and discover new possibilities for living. I am a trauma informed practitioner and understand how trauma can profoundly impact a person’s life, I will support you to go at your own pace, help you to challenge and reframe views about yourself and your world, and will walk beside you with empathy, validation and respect.
I am qualified Psychotherapist, accredited by the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP), and a Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) registered Mental Health Nurse. I have experience working with people with a varying degree of difficulties.
I adopt an Integrative approach which enables me to draw on a range of counselling methods to suit each individual person. Integrating Humanistic and Psychodynamic approaches allows exploration of a person’s current life situations whilst also considering the roots of your struggles.
