Hello, my name is Kerry and I am a therapist based in Sligo Ireland. I understand that life can be very difficult. We may feel trapped with nowhere to turn. It can be hard to take the first step to ask for help. Well done on being here today reading this. The thing is you do not need to do this on your own. I would like to offer you a place that is safe, welcoming, warm and without judgement. I have in MA in integrative counselling and psychotherapy therefore I will adapt my approach to suit whatever concerns or worries you bring in. I really believe in the therapy process as I have walked the path before you.
I have trained in body therapy such as the Polyvagal theory. Having an understanding on what is happening in the body’s Nervous System and why it is happening will assist the client in navigating their daily inner experience. Teaching clients the important steps of self-regulation and know when to ask for co-regulation will support clients when activated.
In order not to forget what it's like to be a client I also attend counselling on a weekly basis. Counselling will be at your pace as I believe you carry an innate wisdom that guides you on a pathway towards growth and change.
