I am qualified psychotherapist with over 15 years’ experience working within physical and mental health and social care settings. Over the last few years, my work has focused solely on mental health as I worked psychotherapeutically within variety of mental health and affiliated services in Ireland. including the perinatal mental health clinic in Holles Street National Maternity Hospital, the Rialto Community Project, the Drop-in Initiative, or my own private psychotherapeutic practice.
My work is based on psychoanalytic theories emphasising the importance of unconscious processes and language. Central is the belief that the human-subject is primarily a speaking-subject, therefore language founds the core of our being. Language / speech has the potential to transform - listening and suitably responding to speech can create a lasting change.
Attending therapy may feel very daunting and in recognition of that my aim is to provide safe non-judgmental space in which you will feel listened to, valued and supported throughout your journey of self-discovery and transformation. I work with adults (18+), provide therapy in English or Czech, and am available for long- or short- term support.
