Joe Geary is an experienced Counselling Psychologist who has worked in community and hospital settings, in psycho-oncology, in employee assistance programs, in student counselling and with charities providing family therapy to parents and teenagers. Joe works with a broad range of issues, and he believes the goal of therapy is for clients to become more accepting of themselves and to become more confident in their relationships with others.
Joe specialises in the utilisation of Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and psychoanalytic approaches, but he has also received training in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapies (CBT). His approach is relational, collaborative and respectful to the needs of each individual client and their unique context.
