Why do we go to therapy?
People go to therapy to cope with life's challenges, manage mental health conditions, and improve their overall well-being. Reasons include dealing with trauma, relationship issues, anxiety, and depression, as well as working through grief, stress, and life transitions. Therapy can also be used for personal growth, helping people understand themselves better and develop skills to handle future issues.
Which Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach?
I like to bring a flexible and compassionate approach to therapy, understanding that each person's journey is unique. At the core of my practice is a Person-Centered belief that clients, in a supportive relationship with their therapist, inherently possess the capacity to discover their own path and goals.
We are not alone when it comes to issues, problems, dilemmas either at home, at work or with our family of origin. They can be testing emotionally, mentally, physically and spirituality. Often we try to ignore these issues as they can be difficult to confront but with the help of a trusted therapist these issues can be unpicked and explored and overcome.
