My name is James Connolly, and I am a psychotherapist and counsellor supporting people experiencing anxiety, low mood, post-traumatic stress disorder, emotional difficulties, and addiction.
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy from PCI College, validated by Middlesex University. I also have experience working as a special needs assistant (SNA), which has shaped my approach in being patient, compassionate and responsive to each person’s individual needs. I am currently undertaking a professional certificate in adolescent psychotherapy.
I integrate a person-centred approach with cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), offering a balance of supportive exploration and practical tools to help you better understand patterns, regulate emotions, and build coping strategies.
My aim is to provide a calm, non-judgmental space where you can explore your experiences, develop insight, and begin to move forward in a way that feels manageable and meaningful.
