Clients often come to see me with difficulties such as depression, anxiety, bereavement and grief, trauma, relationship difficulties and parent-adolescent work. They often want to explore why they are feeling the way that they are and/or find tools to cope with what they are experiencing. Everyone's journey is different and I try and match the way that I work to your particular needs so please feel free to get in touch and we can talk about how I might be able to help.
You may already have an idea about counselling, but it is important to know that there is not one type of therapy that suits everyone. My main priority is to work with you to develop trust and ensure you have a safe space (free from judgement) to work. We can then use a range of different methods including art, talking, music, worksheets and mindfulness.
Many people find that, at some point in their life, they may need to talk to someone in a confidential and caring space. Sometimes a friend or another person you trust can help and other times you need someone else. We can work together to explore worries or problems, find new ways of coping and to help you with making your own decisions.
