About
I work with adults and teenagers using an integrative humanistic approach which can be adapted to the individual needs of each client. Prior to entering the field of counselling and psychotherapy I worked in the area of social care for over ten years working with people across a broad range of services. I love working with people and helping them to overcome their experiences to lead a better life. My clients often come to me for help to understand what has happened to them and process how their experiences are affecting them.
My work is collaborative and I see the client as the expert in their experience with my role being that of a support and guide along the way. I help my clients to make sense of their experiences and create awareness. Once awareness is created, I work with my client to understand that they have choice in how they move forward.
I am always happy to hear from anyone who would like to work with me. If after discussing your therapeutic needs I feel I'm not the best clinical fit I would be happy to work with you to find you the most appropriate therapist. I want you to reach your goals even if I'm not the one to support you to get there.
