I am a qualified and fully accredited Counsellor / Psychotherapist MIACP. I tailor therapy to each clients needs. Key to my approach is identifying objectives and goals for our work together such as experiencing feelings of inner peace and worth, connecting with a sense of inner purpose, experiencing the freedom to live life without feeling burdened or guilty, connecting more in relationships, overcoming feelings of anxiety or depression, overcoming trauma. I use a number of therapeutic frameworks including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), Internal Family Systems, Attachment, and Person Centred.
My approach is exploratory and professional. I work with thoughts, feelings and beliefs to figure out what is driving these so they can be updated and integrated to support my client in reaching their objectives. The safety and confidentiality of the therapy process and the well-being of my clients is uppermost in my practice.
My humanistic approach to therapy is based on the premise that in order to live a fulfilling life, we need to honour our true self. The work of therapy is to lift the lid on beliefs about who we think we need to be in order to experience value and belonging. This means living a life that is abundant where we have the freedom to have what we want.
