Coming to counselling is taking a leap of faith with yourself and with your counsellor. Asking for support, being vulnerable with another person and exploring often difficult personal issues takes great courage. Feeling heard in a safe, non-judgemental, caring space is essential for the work to occur. People's wants and goals in therapy are unique to each individual that comes for counselling. As therapists we are privileged to accompany our clients along their journey.
I have been a fully accredited psychotherapist with the IACP for the last 13 years. I work with both adults and adolescents experiencing a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, bereavement and trauma. I work from a person centered, Gestalt framework to support my clients in their therapeutic journey.
I am also an IACP accredited supervisor.
Reaching out for support can feel scary especially when dealing with a difficult situation. However you don't have to do this alone. As your therapist I will be there to support you and journey with you along your road of self discovery and healing. As the quote says
"Courage is found in unlikely places"
