My goal is to help the client to achieve their own personal goals, via individual or couple's therapy. This includes recovery from trauma e.g. adverse childhood events, sexual abuse, violence, bereavement, PTSD, abandonment or any issues that affects ongoing functioning. It also addresses self-esteem, depression, addiction or anxiety/panic attacks that may arise as a result of stress. Indeed stress is the root of much anxiety and physical ailments. As a foundation I offer a sincere and authentic relationship to assist the client with all relationships and future aspirations in their lives. I also offer clinical supervision.
I offer individual or couples therapy. I work from a psychodynamic school of therapy i.e. understanding the unconscious as well as the conscious dynamics that affect a person. I have extensive experience in the area of relationship counselling and cognitive behavioural therapy. I also do EMDR.
If you feel you are not coping or are struggling, then my door is open. You will find that I offer a listening ear and emphasis on you finding the way forward that is consistent with your values and your circumstances.
