I offer therapy sessions in person in Bath Avenue on Monday Evenings, City Therapy on Wednesday and online on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
If anxiety, people-pleasing or conflict avoidance are leaving you overwhelmed or stuck in relationship patterns, therapy can help. I offer a warm, grounded space where you can explore what’s really going on. Together we work to understand emotional triggers, develop regulation skills and help you reconnect with your own voice. Whether you're dealing with stress, self-doubt or repeating the same dynamics, I’ll support you to move toward something that feels more honest and right for you.

You might be feeling stuck, anxious, or weighed down by thoughts you rarely share. Therapy can be a space to slow down, make sense of what is underneath, and start to feel more like yourself again. I do not believe in fixing people; I believe in understanding, healing, and helping you reconnect with yourself. I offer a warm, confidential space where you can speak freely, without judgment or pressure. My approach is relational and integrative, rooted in deep listening and honest reflection. I do not rush to label or fix; instead, we explore what is beneath the surface so genuine healing can begin.

I work within a humanistic, Integrative approach, including approaches such as CBT and Existential Psychotherapy. I believe in the client guiding where each session goes and gaining autonomy and confidence in what they need and want to focus on in therapy, as time goes on. As the therapist, I work in a collaborative way alongside the client and help them to explore, what in their lives and relationships might be troubling them, including the relationship we have with ourselves. I believe that each person can tap into an inner self that guides and protects them and that each person has the resilience within them to face any struggle.

I work with couples and individuals, providing a neuro-affirmative, open approach. At any stage in life we can be met by challenges that interfere with our happiness and sense of wellbeing. Some of these challenges are caused by events like trauma, bereavement, a diagnosis of physical/mental illness or a relationship breakdown. Or, we may feel out of balance or sad, our thoughts are negative and we can't connect. Our relationships may be suffering. We are not sure what is causing this, we just know that we are not living a full life, something is missing or holding us back. Couples may be in crisis and wondering if they can last.

I draw from a number of therapeutic approaches and seek to meet each person in the way most appropriate to them, and to create an atmosphere of safety and nurture. I welcome enquiries, so if you'd like to make contact please don't hesitate to get in touch. Cuirim an-fháilte roimh dhaoine ar mhaith leo a dteiripe a dhéanamh trí mheán na Gaeilge.

My clinical formation on the course included 2 years of weekly case conferences with the psychiatry department, shaping a strong foundation in working with complex presentations. I have attended a summer school in Amsterdam on (Trans-)Sexuality & Psychoanalysis which is overseen by University of Amsterdam, and I serve on the event committee of APPI, where I am a pre-accredited member. My first publication on subject formation and the logic of the unconscious is to appear in the psychoanalytic journal Lacunae later this summer.

Wherever you are. However you are. You are welcome. Yes, sometimes we just can’t do it on our own and we need help. Therapy is one way to resource yourself to meet some of life’s challenges. Crippling anxiety, overwhelming grief, black depression are sources of deep pain and dark suffering. They can also be as a consequence of early traumatic experiences or negative beliefs we hold about ourselves. To accept where you are is the first step in healing yourself. Hi, I’m Liam and I create a safe place for you to explore your world, where I meet you with compassion and non-judgement in a confidential setting.

Life can be challenging and can bring hardships, conflict and pain. Often people seek therapy at a moment of crisis where they want change in their lives. Psychotherapy offers the possibility for an individual to explore various aspects of their life and be listened to in a way that is rarely possible with family or friends. My experience includes working with psychiatric diagnoses, those affected by issues and symptoms of anxiety, stress, depression, bereavement, addiction, relationship issues, questions of gender and sexuality.

Alan’s approach is integrative, drawing on many useful techniques and approaches; however, places greater value on the therapeutic relationship for healing as he does not believe in the notion of fixing. As no one comes to ‘be’ in isolation, Alan also appreciates the systemic lens of familial relations and respects how that influences all relationships. We all have stories we tell ourselves and therapy can be a safe place to explore if these are helping or harming you in relation to your self or others. A tenet in Narrative Therapy:‘the person is not the problem; the problem is the problem’ (White & Epston).

I am a person centered therapist with ten years experience. I work with individuals and with couples in an inquisitive manner, to create a safe and secure space where all emotionality is welcomed and accommodated. As a client, I will work to help you uncover the pieces about yourself that help you and I both to understand what systems and structures you have in place in order to feel safe. From there, we can work to accommodate these systems and give you a sense of self awareness. My couples work involves a session with each partner individually and then work on the relationship over a number of sessions with the couple together.

There are times when our capacity to feel better, recover or move on with things can feel too difficult to do on our own. It can help to talk to someone outside of your family, friends and familiar relationships to begin to understand how you are feeling. Therapy is a process that can help you explore issues relating to challenging or traumatic life experiences. I can support you in re-discovering a sense of how you can relate to yourself and others in a more resourceful and empowering way. Giving yourself permission to accept support for where you are at is often the hardest thing to do and the most courageous.
