Diarmuid is an accredited member of the IACP and holds a B.Sc. in Counselling & Psychotherapy and an M.Sc. in Family Therapeutic Skills. He has also undertaken training in group work, couples work and body oriented approaches to psychotherapy and incorporates trauma informed care in to his practice.
I provide therapy to individuals, couples, families and groups. I have a broad range of experience having worked in both community services and private practice settings. My therapeutic approach is grounded in person centred principles and I draw on systemic, attachment and narrative ideas when working with clients.
I have experience working with a wide range of issues including: Addiction, trauma, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationships, bereavement, depression and suicide. I offer both short term solution focused work and longer term psychotherapy.
