Using an integrative, trauma-informed approach, I help clients build coping skills, self-esteem and resilience, gently addressing patterns linked to depression, stress, codependency and life transitions.
At my practice, I work alongside people living with anxiety, trauma or the lasting effects of domestic or sexual abuse. You may feel stuck in patterns of self-doubt, people-pleasing or emotional overwhelm. I help you understand what’s happening for you by exploring patterns, emotions and nervous system responses, while emphasising strengths and solutions to identify goals, build self-regulation skills, and take empowered steps forward.

I work with clients who tend to struggle with low self-esteem, depression, and trauma related to past experiences, relationships, or family.
Do you feel like you have bees in your head? Is it difficult to get off the sofa, even when you know you have a million things to do? Are you exhausted and in need of a new direction? In my experience as a therapist, and as a person with ADHD, I’ve seen many clients presenting with confusion, fatigue, brain fog, and burnout. Together, we’ve worked towards helping them find their spark again, live in a way that works for them, not against them, and how to set healthy boundaries in order to live a peaceful, fulfilling life. If this sounds like something you would like to work towards, send me an email today for more information.

My areas of interest include anxiety and depression, relationship and intimacy issues, low self-esteem, stress and overthinking, recovering from narcissistic abuse/relationships, life change/transitions, LGBTQ+ issues, men’s issues, addiction, spirituality/self-growth and trauma.
If you’ve found your way here, you might be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to turn. I offer a warm, non-judgmental space where we can explore what’s happening and find a way forward together. With over eight years of clinical experience, I’ve had the privilege of supporting many people through different challenges, helping them build strength, clarity, and a more fulfilling life. Before becoming a psychotherapist, I studied philosophy and religions, completing a doctorate. This shapes my interest in the questions of meaning and identity. I put strong emphasis on practical applications of therapy in life.

Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or just not yourself lately? Maybe you’re grieving. Maybe you’re stuck in stress or burnout. Or maybe you can’t explain it - only that something feels off. Therapy gives you time and space to look at what’s happening beneath the surface. We’ll talk through what you’re feeling, where it might be coming from, and what could help things shift. Whether you have a clear goal or just a sense that something needs to change, this is a place to start unpacking it - at your pace, in your own way.

I have 15 years experience working with adolescents, adults, and older adults from diverse backgrounds, supporting people through the issues that bring most of us to therapy at some point — anxiety, depression, complex trauma, grief and loss, addiction, and the relational patterns we find ourselves stuck in. Our job together is to identify what's getting in the way of the life you want, understand how those patterns took hold, and gently remove the inner and outer obstacles that are keeping you stuck. The focus is on real change, in how you feel, how you relate, and how you move through the world.

I work in an integrative way, using threads from various approaches to help improve self esteem which in turn can instill adequate confidence needed to navigate through everyday challenges.
It is a privilege as a counsellor/psychotherapist to provide a safe environment for clients to work through a wide range of issues that effect their emotional, psychological, & social wellbeing. I'm passionate about this work as I have seen the huge, positive impact this can have on a person's life. I have a particular interest in working with men who often hide their emotions & can be hesitant to reach out for help. Working with families who are caring for loved ones with dementia is also a special interest, this can be a very isolating and lonely experience. A listening ear can be a comfort to clients embarking on this journey.

I am a Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapist, deeply rooted in the person-centred and existential belief that every individual holds an innate capacity for resilience and growth. My approach is grounded in genuine connection, empathy, and curiosity about what it means to be human. I believe that therapy offers a space where people can safely explore who they are, what they’ve experienced, and how they wish to live more fully. Working collaboratively, I aim to support clients in finding their own voice and inner strength, even in moments of uncertainty or pain.

When should a person seek therapy for low self-esteem?
When self-esteem problems begin to disrupt the healthy daily functioning of an individual, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If a person finds that they are not engaging with friends for fear of being judged, not completing work assignments because they don’t think they’re capable, or not finding romantic love because they don’t feel they’re worthy of it, a therapist may be able to help.

What are the signs of low self-esteem?
Low self-esteem is a common issue that can affect a person's mental and emotional well-being. Some common signs of low self-esteem include negative self-talk, perfectionism, social anxiety, difficulty making decisions, an inability to set boundaries, people-pleasing, and others. A lack of belief in oneself or one’s abilities and a feeling of not being worthy or deserving underlie most of these characteristics.

What causes low self-esteem?
Feelings of low self-worth can begin in childhood or adulthood. Being raised by a highly critical parent or growing up feeling constant disapproval can stay with a person well into adulthood. Specific issues in adulthood may also be a cause of low self-esteem. An unhappy relationship, a dysfunctional work or school experience can impact a person’s feelings of self-worth.

How can therapy improve self-esteem?
Therapists can help identify negative thought patterns that keep the client stuck in a loop of destructive self-talk and develop coping skills to change the voice in their head. A therapist can help with goal-setting, so that clients are better able to stay on task and build confidence from successfully completing work they’re proud of. Coaching a client on how to better communicate can improve relationships. These skills can result in someone with low self-esteem feeling empowered and living with less fear.
