I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely met as a human being, not analysed, fixed, or judged. Many of the people I work with come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves or others, often after long periods of coping alone. My role is to offer a steady, compassionate space where we can slow things down, make sense of what’s happening, and gently work towards change that feels real and sustainable.

Many people who come to therapy are used to coping on the outside while struggling internally. You may feel overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally drained, stuck in patterns that are hard to break, or carrying things alone for too long. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, burnout, low mood, addiction-related difficulties, and self-esteem challenges. Therapy offers a space to speak openly without judgement, explore what may be contributing to how you feel, and develop healthier ways to cope, feel more grounded, and move forward with greater self-understanding.

Perhaps you are wondering why choose to work with me or what would this look like? We can begin with exploring what you are going through and look to increase awareness and understanding of the impact of these lived experiences, and possibly identify the origins. Your journey and experiences are unique. You bring your story and together we will navigate the feelings, thoughts, emotions and behaviours, validate the impact and create a clear picture of the change you might hope to achieve. Through this process we can also explore ways you can best implement change for an improved lived experience.

For neurodivergent minds that have spent years masking, overcompensating, or shutting down and dealing with a deep sense of shame — IFS can be transformative.
I’m an ADHDer. I know what it’s like to feel like the world wasn’t quite built for your brain or nervous system!
I work with people who’ve spent years wondering why everything feels harder than it should. Those newly diagnosed, late-diagnosed, or those suspecting they might be neurodivergent and wanting space to explore that. You are all very welcome.
Life has a way of pulling the rug out. Perimenopause. A new baby. Starting college and losing all structure overnight. These can be the turning point moments an ADHD brain finally says “enough.”
If that sounds familiar, you’re in the right place.

I work with adults who are dealing with anxiety, OCD, ADHD, autism, depression, relationship difficulties, or LGBTQIA+ mental health. What brings people to me varies. Sometimes, it's something specific, like intrusive thoughts or a relationship that's struggling; sometimes, it's a more general feeling that things aren't working the way they want them to. I have firsthand experience with ADHD, OCD, and anxiety, which means I understand what these things actually feel like day to day. I work in blocks of four to six sessions with a review, so we can check that the work is going in the right direction.

Sometimes the ways we think, feel, and respond to the world are shaped by what we have had to survive.
You may find yourself questioning why you react the way you do, feeling overwhelmed by emotions, struggling in relationships, or carrying experiences that still impact you today. These responses are not signs that something is wrong with you; they are often adaptations that helped you cope when you needed them.
Therapy can be a place to acknowledge what you have been through, grieve what was lost, and gently explore new ways of relating to yourself and others.

Internal Family Systems ( IFS) trained with the IFS Institute.
My work is designed to move clients from the "why" of their struggles and into the experience of change.
The ideal outcome of the integrative approach is the transition with the use of different tools from internal conflict to a state of grounded self-leadership, where one no longer feels at the mercy of their triggers or past wounds.

What is Internal Family Systems therapy?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.
How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.
Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.
How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?
As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
