In my practice, I strive to provide an environment of safety for clients to develop a compassionate awareness of the problems they are facing. My training has allowed me to develop a strong ability to listen deeply to what clients need; providing a much-needed sound wall so that the client does not feel alone with their problems. In this manner, we as clients can develop a patient understanding of any issue we face, i.e. anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, grief among many others. I work with clients to improve their lives and their management of personal problems in a collaborative, communicative and safe context.

Feeling overwhelmed, stressed or anxious? Sometimes the demands of modern life can make us feel out of control. When we are suffering, we tend to look at all that is wrong in our lives. We can lose confidence and make judgements and assumptions about ourselves or our situations that focus mainly on the negative. The coping strategies we adopted in childhood can become our defensive mechanisms in adulthood and we can often find ourselves repeating old patterns of behaviour that don't work but we don't know how to find a way to break the cycle.

Psychotherapy for reflective adults navigating stress, transitions, and questions of meaning... Life can sometimes feel demanding or unsettled, even when things appear to be functioning well on the outside. You may be managing work, responsibilities, and relationships while feeling tense, depleted, disconnected, or quietly out of balance. You might be carrying past experiences and patterns that are difficult to make sense of on your own. You may have a sense that something needs attention, even if it is hard to name. Therapy can offer a steady space to slow down and listen more closely to what is happening beneath the surface.

I am a accredited Psychotherapist ,Clinical Supervisor and Certified advanced practitioner in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy which is a experiential access route to core material -deepening therapy beyond insight and words. It allows us to rapidly access the unconscious beliefs and early experiences which shape our lives, relationships, and self-perceptions. When unconscious, this hidden material creates projections, conflict and disharmony in our interactions and inner lives. In Sensorimotor Psychotherapy the body is viewed as a “map of the psyche” a door that can be opened to reveal the character/belief system of the individual

Do you feel you put the needs of others ahead of your own, feeling overwhelmed, guilty or unable to say no to others? Maybe it has gotten to the point where you don’t even consider yourself, putting everyone else’s needs before your own. I can help you to grow in confidence, speak your mind and establish healthy boundaries. Do you feel anxious and worry a lot? Perhaps you feel suffocated, or berate yourself and wish life didn’t have to be so hard, or maybe worry about what everyone else thinks about you. I can help you understand where all these thoughts and feelings are coming from so you can begin to have peace in your life.

I love working with leaders and entrepreneurs who are feeling stuck, have more to do and need practical and inspirational positive support in moving forward in their lives and work. My approach is to help you identify what your issues might be and to help you unlock what is holding you back from stepping further in to your potential and realising more of your dreams and ideas. We look at what you really want and what the limiting beliefs are that may be in the way. As an experienced psychotherapist I can quickly see what early patterns may still limit you and that are ready to be resolved.

You may be looking for some sort of change in your life. That change could be physical or emotional. My work is based on the belief that if we want to create change in our lives, we must look within. To find out who we really are, we need to go inwards, challenge old beliefs, thoughts and behaviours, which can feel like moving away from everything we’ve ever known. I help my clients to see the connections between mind and body, to identify unhelpful patterns, establish new habits and ultimately live a happier life.

Transpersonal Counsellors
How does transpersonal therapy work?
Transpersonal therapy focuses on a patient’s spirituality and meaning in life. Transpersonal therapists might borrow from Eastern traditions as well as Western psychology. They may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualisation, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork to produce altered states of consciousness. The therapist helps the patient to access their consciousness and spirituality to work through difficult mental states.

How long does transpersonal therapy last?
Because the goal is to understand a person as a whole, including their spirituality, treatment can range from months to a year or beyond. While patients learn the philosophy behind transpersonal therapy during treatment, they can also practice its principles throughout life after therapy sessions have ended.

Is transpersonal therapy effective?
Patients have found success with transpersonal therapy; this method is useful in improving anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, fears, relationship problems, and other concerns. Improvements in problem areas can continue even after transpersonal therapy ends, as individuals can utilise the tools they’ve learned during treatment sessions.

What are the limitations of transpersonal therapy?
There is some research on the effectiveness of transpersonal therapy, but empirical support for this therapy approach is sparse. It does not have the robust evidence base of other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioural therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy.
