I am a BABCP-accredited CBT Psychotherapist offering online therapy across Ireland and the UK.
I work with adults who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or caught in patterns that are difficult to shift alone. This can include anxiety, low mood, OCD, trauma, or longer-term emotional difficulties. Some people are managing day to day but feel burnt out, disconnected, or struggling with self-esteem. Many are high-functioning and used to coping independently. I work in a neurodiversity-affirming way and aim to bring clarity to what is happening beneath the surface, so change feels more possible. You don’t need a diagnosis to begin therapy.

I work with various psychotherapeutic approaches including person- centred, CBT and psychodynamic, depending on the individual needs of the client.
As a therapist my aim is to provide a safe, welcoming and confidential space in which we can work together to explore the reasons you have come to counselling. Those reasons vary from person to person and may include, anxiety, grief, loss, stress, depression, relationship issues, difficulty with trust, trauma, low self-esteem or coping with change in an increasingly changing world. Together, we can explore these issues and learn to break free of limiting patterns and beliefs that may be holding you back and take steps to move forward in life with greater ease and peace.

Hello & welcome to my profile. I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with the PSI (M12836C) and Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC (PYL31683). I offer confidential psychological therapy online. There are a multitude of issues and concerns that may prompt any person, of any background, in any situation, to seek out a Psychologist. These may include experiences of helplessness, feelings of distress, confusion, or stagnation personally or professionally. Often, people feel stuck and unable to address their difficulties alone; this helplessness is a universal human trait, however, it can be lessened through therapy.

Using an integrative approach, i offer a Person Centred approach that will often incorporate CBT, Solution Focused with the depth of the Psychodynamic/Existential - where we co-create a flexible plan tailored to meet your needs — drawing on approaches that fit you best.
It can be draining waking up day after day with your heart racing, feeling on edge. You might be dealing with anxiety or a consistent low mood, overthinking, or replaying worst-case scenarios in your head again and again. Friends and family are around you, and there for you, yet you still feel alone. It's simply exhausting. I understand how heavy this can feel, and I’m here to support you and help you find a way through it.

Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) Counsellors
How does cognitive behavioural therapy work?
Cognitive behavioural therapy works by exploring how your thoughts affect your emotions and experiences. CBT helps you identify distortions in your thinking. For example, you may tend to jump to the worst case scenario catastrophising or think in extremes (all-or-nothing thinking). A therapist can teach you how to push back against those thoughts to ultimately change your feelings and behavior for the better. They can also provide coping skills to better deal with stressors and challenges.

When do I know to seek treatment with cognitive behavioural therapy?
It’s reasonable to consider cognitive behavioural therapy if you struggle to manage difficult emotions or behaviors to such an extent that you are not getting the most out of life on a day-to-day basis. If you want a shorter term, concrete, skills-based approach, CBT is a great option. (By contrast, other types of therapy may devote more time to exploring your past and its effects.) The decision to seek CBT also depends on the condition you’re treating; CBT is an effective treatment for anxiety, depression, trauma, and many other disorders.

How can I find a cognitive behavioural therapist for someone else?
To find a cognitive behavioural therapist for someone else, you may want to begin by discussing the person’s problem, researching cognitive behavioural therapy, and assessing whether the approach is the right fit. You could then reach out to a few cognitive behavioral therapists in this directory, explain the scenario, have a consultation with those available, and determine who could be a good match.

Why is CBT such a popular form of therapy?
CBT has become a popular form of therapy because it is effective and accessible. Robust research has demonstrated that CBT is an effective treatment for many mental health conditions. And CBT can be learned in relatively few sessions, which means that many people can engage in the process, afford it, and see results quickly. It involves learning concrete skills such as disputing unhelpful thoughts; these skills can also be taught and spread widely.
