As an integrative therapist rooted in person-centred, choice theory, and reality therapy, blending CBT and trauma-informed tools, I help you explore underlying issues, untangle old patterns, and shift beliefs holding you back.
Therapy is a journey of self-discovery and growth. As an integrative therapist, I lead with a person-centred approach meeting you right where you are with warmth, safety, and deep acceptance. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, or a major life change, we look beneath the surface together. By exploring underlying issues, we gently untangle old patterns and shift belief systems that no longer serve you. Blending CBT, motivational interviewing, and specialised trauma techniques like the Rewind method, we create a collaborative space for lasting healing and forward movement.

My approach is best suited to those looking for more than a quick fix. Rather than simply managing symptoms, I believe in gently exploring the deeper roots of emotional pain, creating lasting change through greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and understanding. If you're tired of feeling like you need to constantly "fix" yourself, therapy can become a space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and cultivate a greater sense of safety, presence, and inner resilience.

Coming to counselling is taking a leap of faith with yourself and with your counsellor. Asking for support, being vulnerable with another person and exploring often difficult personal issues takes great courage. Feeling heard in a safe, non-judgemental, caring space is essential for the work to occur. People's wants and goals in therapy are unique to each individual that comes for counselling. As therapists we are privileged to accompany our clients along their journey.

Are you finding it difficult to cope or having problems in your relationships? Perhaps you feel overwhelmed by your emotions or you find yourself overthinking? Psychotherapy can help you connect with yourself, make sense of your experiences and find solutions. I believe that life is complex and no two people experience it the same way. Therefore therapy is not a 'one size fits all'. I draw on years of experience as a therapist and I integrate approaches so that the therapeutic space is centred on you and your needs.

We can arrange a quick chat and then plan a session in person, online, or walk and talk therapy.
Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just not quite yourself lately? Do you feel like you are on a "hampster wheel", loosing yourself while caring for everyone else. Maybe things look “fine” on the outside, but inside it feels a bit heavier or harder than it should. If that sounds familiar, you’re not on your own. I’m here to listen and help you make sense of things, so they don’t feel as heavy. You might want to identify and work towards what you want for your life, talk through something that’s happening at the moment, or come to terms with experiences from your past that still feel unresolved. All of that is welcome here.

I work face to face following HSE guidelines.
I believe the answers to our own problems are within us. You are the expert. The narrator of your story. Your experience is unique. Only you know what it is to be you. How it feels. My role is simply one of companion. It is hoped that as you journey along at your own pace you will begin to unravel and understand who you are and why you feel the way you do. This insight has the potential to make sense of your difficulties. To find the light in the dark. To see new roads to travel, better ways to live, and new eyes to see the world. To eventually have the courage to take the road meant for you. To become who you truly are.

FAQ - About In Person Therapy
What are the benefits of in-person therapy?
In-person therapy offers several benefits that some people find highly valuable for their mental health treatment. Being present in the same room as your therapist can create a stronger sense of connection and allow for more nuanced communication through body language. Some people may also find it easier to focus in therapy when they are in a dedicated space and away from potential distractions related to home or work; attending an in-person session provides a clear boundary between therapy time and the rest of your life. For certain therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), exposure therapy, or somatic therapy, being in person may be particularly important, as these therapies benefit from the therapist being able to observe and respond to a client’s physical cues effectively. Additionally, some individuals simply feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or painful topics when they are face-to-face with their therapist rather than on a screen.

When should I choose in-person therapy over online therapy?
In-person therapy may be a better choice when you need a structured therapeutic environment separate from your daily life, when you find it difficult to focus or feel comfortable in an online setting, or when privacy at home is a concern. It may also be more appropriate if you are dealing with severe mental health symptoms that require close monitoring or if your therapy involves approaches that rely heavily on observing physical cues. On the other hand, if convenience, scheduling flexibility, or access to specialists outside your immediate area are priorities, online therapy may be a better fit. Many therapists offer both options, so you can also discuss with a provider which format might work best for your specific situation.

How do I find an in-person therapist?
You can use Psychology Today's therapist directory to find an in-person therapist in your area. You can search by location, insurance accepted, specialty areas, therapeutic approaches, and other criteria to narrow down providers who meet your needs. Each therapist profile includes information about their credentials, areas of expertise, and whether they offer in-person sessions. Once you have identified potential therapists, you can contact them directly through the directory to schedule an initial consultation and determine whether they are a good fit before committing to ongoing treatment. When reaching out, it can be helpful to confirm their availability for in-person appointments, their office location, and whether they accept your insurance.
