I work empathically with my clients. Sessions are completely confidential. I work very well with clients who suffer from anxiety and depression. My speciality is my inner child work. This is a very powerful therapy. I can bring the client back in a safe way to a traumatic experience. Sometimes, I will combine this therapy with music. The client may experience the trauma through feelings in the body, this therapy answers for the client why they feel the way they do in their body. By unlocking those feelings healing may begin. It can help a client to become more confident and as a result they begin to uncover their true self's.

Are you feeling overwhelmed, stressed and unable to focus? Feeling worried, struggling with the world today. Recovery is possible - I use Trauma Informed Care, EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I focus on working with clients struggling with Anxiety, Stress, Depression, Trauma and Unresolved Childhood Issues. When I first meet with a client, we discuss what has brought them to therapy. With this information we discuss how we will work with together. The first session with any new client is to assess if we can work together and if the client feels comfortable with continuing the therapeutic process.

I work with a range of difficulties, including relationship issues, mood, anxiety, suicidality, personality difficulties, developmental trauma and psychosis.
Feeling low, anxious, over-analyzing, being detached, feeling lost, feeling guilty, having a strong critical voice, having relationship problems, being told you are over-sensitive-these are all issues we can look at in-depth. You may have a diagnosis but it is usually much more helpful to look at a formulation or map of your difficulties. I am passionate about working with people who want to really understand what is contributing to their difficulties, and want to engage in experiential work to deeply address these. I specialise in Schema Therapy as it not only seeks to bring deep understanding, but also deep healing.

Many of my clients face similar but difficult struggles. I provide support for generalised anxiety, panic attacks, and depressive episodes, relationship difficulties and breakdown, coercive control, relationship breakdown and workplace bulling, all of which are often exacerbated by modern life, social media pressures, and economic uncertainties. I also assist those navigating bereavement, job loss, or relationship breakdowns. My services extend to addressing work-related stress, burnout, and feelings of loneliness and isolation. Coping mechanisms used to help deal with these problems lead to substance and behavioural addictions

I specialise in supporting clients to heal from complex trauma. I have a particular interest in overcoming coping behaviours such as using food to comfort or numb out. I find my clients often have had painful childhood experiences. My training in social work has provided a backdrop for understanding early adverse childhood experiences. Many of my clients are also highly sensive. I support people to become unstuck and to gain much needed self esteem and confidence.

As a therapist, I don't aim to 'fix' my clients. Instead, I believe they possess the innate capacity to heal and uncover their inner strength. My role is to guide them on their journey, helping them uncover the tools and resources they've been carrying within themselves. Many individuals have lost touch with their inner power, their voice, and their resilience due to trauma and other life experiences. As a therapist, I use various approaches, including art therapy, psychodynamic techniques, and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), to empower my clients to reclaim their voice and inner power.

Psychosis Counsellors
What’s the most effective treatment for psychosis?
The most effective treatment for psychosis is coordinated specialty care. In this model, a team of professionals works with a patient to address all aspects of the underlying disorder. This approach incorporates individual or group therapy, employment and education support, family support and education, medication management (which often involves low doses of antipsychotics), and case management to facilitate problem-solving as needed.

When should people seek treatment for psychosis?
People should seek immediate treatment at the earliest indication of psychosis. Symptoms include delusions, hallucinations, disorganized or blocked speech, and agitated body movements. Early signs that a person may be developing a disorder that will lead to psychosis include suspiciousness of others, memory problems and distractibility, an inability to think clearly, rapid or nonsensical speech, withdrawal from friends or family, aggression toward others, and sensitivity to bright lights or noises.

What if psychosis is left untreated?
Without treatment, psychosis can have significant repercussions, including injuries, job loss, homelessness, financial or legal trouble, ruptured relationships, and suffering for the person and their family. While early treatment for psychosis often yields the best results, there is no point past which it becomes useless to seek treatment. At any point, treatment can make a difference.

How do I get someone else to seek treatment for psychosis?
It’s extremely difficult to watch a loved one suffer from hallucinations, delusions, and other elements of psychosis—sometimes exacerbated by their fears of treatment. Have a conversation with them in a quiet space and maintain a calm, supportive tone. Share your concerns about behaviors you’ve observed, suggest treatment, and explain the potential benefits. Listen carefully to their responses. The person may not be ready after one conversation, but with time, they may come around.
