Or you're at a career crossroads and can't figure out which direction to take or why any of it matters.
I'm a licensed psychotherapist with 18 years in tech. I understand your world and I know how to work with the psychology underneath. I combine therapy and coaching because you need both. We start with the psychological work, then move to strategy once you have clarity. Most people get there in 12 weeks.

I work with women that feel stuck, particularly in relationships or professional situations that have them feeling overwhelmed, overlooked, unappreciated or undervalued. I help them release any latent beliefs or stories that are holding them back and reconnect to their most powerful and successful selves with a renewed sense of identity, a vision for how they'd like their life to be and the ability to reach their potential to get there.

You may be looking for some sort of change in your life. That change could be physical or emotional. My work is based on the belief that if we want to create change in our lives, we must look within. To find out who we really are, we need to go inwards, challenge old beliefs, thoughts and behaviours, which can feel like moving away from everything we’ve ever known. I help my clients to see the connections between mind and body, to identify unhelpful patterns, establish new habits and ultimately live a happier life.

My ideal client is someone who may be feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, grief, or navigating a significant life transition. They might also be exploring their identity, particularly within the LGBTQIA+ community, or learning to embrace their neurodivergence. At the heart of their struggle is a desire for understanding, acceptance, and clarity. Their goals often include building resilience, feeling more at ease in their daily lives, and developing healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. What they want most is to be truly heard and supported in a safe, non-judgemental space.

I work with people who feel life has become a bit too loud or overwhelming lately. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or grief, I offer a space to catch your breath. I also focus on helping those stuck in work-related issues, anger, or relationship patterns. Together, we can explore self-esteem and inner child work to find the roots of why you feel "off" or disconnected after a major life shift. My goal is to help you regulate your nervous system, move through the feeling of being "stuck," and find your way back to your secure centre.

If you sense that something in your life needs care or change, even if you can’t yet put it into words, we could work together to explore what that might be. What leaves you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, out of touch with your body, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you? While you might be navigating stress, loss, grief, a life transition, or a longing to understand yourself more deeply, I'd like to offer you a space where you can slow down, feel heard and seen, and explore what’s happening without pressure to fix things quickly, so you can feel more at home in yourself and in your relationships.

Parakletos is an ancient Greek word meaning Advocate or Helper. In my practice, it represents the therapeutic relationship—a space where you are supported, understood, and guided toward healing and self-discovery. I aim to provide a compassionate space to explore mind, body and spirit, helping you find clarity and strength in your journey. During June, July and August, I will not be seeing new clients. How do I know if I need career counselling?
Determining whether a career counsellor is needed involves assessing one's current career and identifying what changes can be made to improve one's overall quality of life. In particular, feelings of loss of motivation, fatigue, anxiety, depression, procrastination, or ongoing levels of high stress can all be indicative of a need for career-related counselling. In addition, individuals changing jobs may want the decision-making support or self-reflection opportunities provided by a career counsellor.

Who can benefit from career counselling?
Anyone can benefit from the self-reflection, skill development, and stress management techniques that career counselling can provide. However, individuals who are feeling overwhelmed or burnt out with their current job and individuals considering a major career change may particularly benefit from career counselling to improve their wellbeing. Additionally, individuals who are facing issues in their current job, such as coworker relationship challenges or not meeting performance goals, may benefit from the perspective that a career counsellor can provide. College-age or young professionals may also uniquely benefit from career counselling as they make key decisions surrounding education and job training that will impact their career trajectory.

How long does career counselling typically last?
The length of career counselling can vary greatly depending on the needs of the individual and what type of support they are seeking Career coaching or advising services—which serve clients in a specific, goal-oriented capacity—often last for a shorter duration and are sometimes only a single session or a few sessions in length. In contrast, career counselling as part of a more integrative therapeutic relationship with a counsellor may last longer, particularly if the issues faced by the client are longstanding and/or more complex in nature; in such cases, individuals may expect therapy to last multiple months or longer.

How to prepare for career counselling?
Clients can prepare for career counselling sessions by outlining the specific topics they would like to address with the counsellor, such as current job challenges or hopes for the future of their career. Compiling one's thoughts on such topics often requires reflection on one's career and future goals, which in itself can be beneficial for session preparation. Clients may also want to put together a list of questions they would like to ask the counsellor, particularly if the career counsellor they are seeing has particular expertise in a given career area. Conducting research into potential future jobs, training opportunities, or support resources in one's area may also help clients prepare for career counselling by providing them with a background of what resources are available in their area.
