I work empathically with my clients. Sessions are completely confidential. I work very well with clients who suffer from anxiety and depression. My speciality is my inner child work. This is a very powerful therapy. I can bring the client back in a safe way to a traumatic experience. Sometimes, I will combine this therapy with music. The client may experience the trauma through feelings in the body, this therapy answers for the client why they feel the way they do in their body. By unlocking those feelings healing may begin. It can help a client to become more confident and as a result they begin to uncover their true self's.

Are you feeling overwhelmed, stressed and unable to focus? Feeling worried, struggling with the world today. Recovery is possible - I use Trauma Informed Care, EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I focus on working with clients struggling with Anxiety, Stress, Depression, Trauma and Unresolved Childhood Issues. When I first meet with a client, we discuss what has brought them to therapy. With this information we discuss how we will work with together. The first session with any new client is to assess if we can work together and if the client feels comfortable with continuing the therapeutic process.

I am an IACP Psychotherapist and Supervisor and I aspire to provide an inclusive, non-judgemental safe space for my clients to work through their issues. The therapy that I offer is based on the belief that people who come for therapy are experts on their own lives(even if they don't feel like they are!) who have lots of potentially good ideas about how to deal with their problems. One of my roles is to help you make the best of your own experience and understanding.

People often come to see me because they’re struggling in their relationships, dealing with anxiety or low mood, feeling stuck or dissatisfied, or finding it hard to make decisions or set boundaries. I regularly work with people who describe difficulty saying no, 'people pleasing', worrying about being 'too much' or 'not enough,' feeling invisible or resentful (but not saying anything about it), or replaying interactions and criticising themselves afterwards.

Many of my clients come to me with issues around anxiety, depression, loss, self esteem, bereavements, family difficulties and conflicts within couples. They come to me looking for a safe space in which to process what is going on in their lives. I provide a non-judgemental, warm, accepting environment where we can work through their feelings and hopefully find understanding, acceptance and resolutions.

Why do we go to therapy?  People go to therapy to cope with life's challenges, manage mental health conditions, and improve their overall well-being. Reasons include dealing with trauma, relationship issues, anxiety, and depression, as well as working through grief, stress, and life transitions. Therapy can also be used for personal growth, helping people understand themselves better and develop skills to handle future issues.

Life can be difficult. The uncertainty of the future can be crippling. Feeling anxious, angry and depressed is normal but sometimes they take over and prevents us from living. I will work alongside clients and discuss their specific goals, needs and their issues.

To be Human is to feel deeply. If we belive in this then we have a choice, a choice of self-compassion, a choice of normalizing what we feel, a choice to heal. It's in this choice I would like to support you in your journey of healing in your own rhythm, one piece at a time.

We live in very challenging times and sometimes need somewhere to talk, and someone to listen and care. To be heard can be truly transformational and healing for someone, so providing a non-judgmental, safe space is imperative for the work. I aim to provide support and care through your journey. I work holistically and I am a firm believer that the Body keeps the score. If we suppress how we truly feel, it can manifest in other ways in the body. Ideally, we want to operate from a centered place of truth, compassion and awareness, and I’m here to help you with that. I am also currently training to be a Polyvagal Theory Practitioner

How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.

How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.

Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.

What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
