We provide Adult and Adolescent ADHD assessments, and a range of other developmental and psychological assessments, as well as ongoing therapeutic support. We understand that reaching out for help—for yourself, your teen, or your family—can feel overwhelming. An initial consultation is a calm and reassuring first step, offering a warm space to share concerns, ask questions, and begin exploring what the most helpful path forward might be. I offer in-person appointments from two clinic locations: Clonskeagh, Dublin 14, and Greystones, Co. Wicklow.

Life can be challenging and can bring hardships, conflict and pain. Often people seek therapy at a moment of crisis where they want change in their lives. Psychotherapy offers the possibility for an individual to explore various aspects of their life and be listened to in a way that is rarely possible with family or friends. My experience includes working with psychiatric diagnoses, those affected by issues and symptoms of anxiety, stress, depression, bereavement, addiction, relationship issues, questions of gender and sexuality.

I help people reduce or come off their psychotropic drugs for depression, anxiety, sleep issues, OCD, trauma and also with psychosis.
“Overactive” busy minds have difficulty slowing down. I see it everyday. Having genes for a mental illness does not guarantee having one. Exposure to traumas is also needed to cause a disturbance in transmitters and hormones in the body. I help a person when they are looking for help in reducing psychiatric medications or before taking them. My experience involves helping a person process their traumas to heal them emotionally. In Walsh protocol , food supplements are prescribed instead of psychotropic medications that participate in hormonal and neurotransmitter metabolism. I can speak English, Hindi/ Urdu and Punjabi.

I work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, and stress-related psychological difficulties.
I trained in Metacognitive (MCT) Therapy with Pia Callensen, author of 'Live More Think Less'. MCT is an evidence-based psychological therapy developed by Professor Adrian Wells. MCT is based on a simple but powerful idea, It’s not the presence of negative thoughts that keeps us stuck, it’s how we respond to them. Rather than analysing the content of thoughts, MCT focuses on changing the thinking patterns that maintain distress, such as , Persistent worry, Rumination , Overthinking and attempts to control our thoughts. It is very effective in treating depression, anxiety & other mental health issues with recovery rates of over 70%

It is hard to describe what psychotherapy is really like. One of us, Jonathan Shedler describes it well. "We are changing life patterns. There is no path from Point A to Point B that does not traverse the unknown Real transformation occurs when patient and therapist can enter and embrace that unknown Perhaps it is like ancient sailors setting out to sea in search of a new and distant land—but uncertain how far they might have to travel before they once again set foot on solid earth, or what they might find when they get there" There is no substitute for meeting face to face though. And proceeding or not from there.

I believe the answers to our own problems are within us. You are the expert. The narrator of your story. Your experience is unique. Only you know what it is to be you. How it feels. My role is simply one of companion. It is hoped that as you journey along at your own pace you will begin to unravel and understand who you are and why you feel the way you do. This insight has the potential to make sense of your difficulties. To find the light in the dark. To see new roads to travel, better ways to live, and new eyes to see the world. To eventually have the courage to take the road meant for you. To become who you truly are.

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Counsellors
How long does OCD treatment take?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.

What happens if OCD is not treated?
Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.

Are there medications for OCD?
Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine, fluoxetine, and sertraline, among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.

Can OCD come back after treatment?
Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
