Sandra strives to create a therapeutic environment grounded in empathy while clients embark on their journey of self-exploration and personal growth. Her approach to psychotherapy is rooted in the integration of person-centred and psychoanalytic approaches. She is mindful that each client is unique and tailors her therapeutic approach accordingly by incorporating, for example, CBT, Schema therapy and somatic techniques. So often with symptoms of anxiety and depression, vagus nerve dysregulation is an unseen enemy and Sandra uses the principles of polyvagal theory to help clients become more grounded and centred in the body.

It's such an incredible privilege to be able to use my own life experiences to help others.
I work ‘integratively’, which means I use elements of different models of theory and tailor them to each clients needs.

After a few sessions you will notice that you are finding a healthier way to deal with the different situations that arise in your life.
IACP accreditated psychotherapist, for adult clients, Spanish and English speakers. Our mental health is closely linked to the way we relate to ourselves and to others. It is therefore extremely important to work on the source of our distress, to make the effort to examine it, to understand its cause and thus to find our own tools for dealing with it. Personal and professional development involves hard and deep work that allows us to understand our unique way of dealing with daily challenges. My commitment is to accompany you on this journey, respecting your beliefs, validating your choices and revealing your contradictions.

I work with various individuals from various backgrounds to work through and heal from traumatic experiences, grief, mental health challenges, or life's everyday struggles.
I find great fulfillment in working with individuals who have struggled to find reliability in their lives, as I aim to be a trustworthy presence for them. Building this trust can be a transformative experience, enabling them to foster healthy relationships with others, ultimately breaking the cycle of isolation.

In our initial sessions, we will explore the issues together and develop a tailored plan to help you feel more in control of your life.
Hi, my name is Rebecca, and I am a fully qualified, pre-accredited psychotherapist. I work with individuals who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck—whether due to depression, trauma, addiction, chronic stress, or the weight of complex relationships. Many of the people I support are navigating family estrangement, no-contact or low-contact dynamics, and the grief, confusion, and emotional pain that can accompany those decisions. Together, we create space to process these experiences, helping you find clarity, steadiness, and relief.

I offer 1-1 psychotherapy and coaching, exploring issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, resilience, trauma, workplace performance, sexuality, sexual abuse, identity, and finding meaning.
I like to know how things work, so along with traditional counselling and psychotherapeutic methods, I apply modern neuroscience, so that you can feel comfortable that there is a scientific grounding behind our time together.

Each of us has inherent dignity and worth, and the capacity and freedom to live a meaningful and integrated life.
Do you sometimes feel torn between a part of you that wants one thing and another that wants the opposite? Like a part that wants to be fit and healthy and another one that can’t stop eating? Or a part that does, feels or thinks in a way that another part says you shouldn’t, so another part feels guilty about it? Say a procrastinating part that leaves important tasks till the last moment, a self-critical part that beats down the procrastinating part, and a “there’s something wrong with me” part that feels a terrible sense of shame? The good news is that we are more than just the sum of our parts! Our innermost self is greater!

I offer a non-judgmental space where they can explore their inner landscape and reconnect with their feelings, needs, resources, helping them to break old patterns and to create the life they really want.
I think about the therapeutic process in an integrative and holistic way. I combine traditional talk therapy with innovations in body awareness and mind-body integration to facilitate deeper access to the whole self. My approach is creative, open, and flexible, recognising that healing requires an individualised approach.

Each person is unique, and even though we all have similar needs in life, our life experiences can affect how we perceive ourselves, other people and our situations.
By getting to know you, a counsellor can point out patterns of thinking that might be stopping you from seeing all sides of a situation clearly. Sometimes, to make life a little bit easier, all you need to do is become aware of a problem that you might not have seen before.

Life Coaching Counsellors

What can I expect from life coaching?

Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?

Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?

Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?

Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
