Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck in old patterns, or finding it hard to navigate your emotions or relationship with food? You don't have to do this alone. I work with adults and adolescents, offering a warm, grounded, judgment-free space where you can feel heard, supported, and understood. My approach is integrative and psychodynamic, meaning I work with you at a deeper level to make sense of your experiences, while also drawing on evidence-based tools like CBT-E for eating disorders and trauma-informed interventions.

I help people who feel overwhelmed by stress, caught in anxiety, or weighed down by low mood. Many clients come to therapy wanting to feel more like themselves again or to understand why things feel so difficult. My work is about creating space to explore these feelings safely and at your own pace.

I offer a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space for people who may be feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or at a crossroads in their lives. Often, those who come to therapy are seeking a deeper understanding of themselves, greater emotional awareness, or support in navigating difficult or uncertain circumstances. My approach is integrative and relational, supporting exploration of thoughts, emotions, and patterns that may no longer feel helpful. Therapy can be a place to slow down, make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface, and reconnect with a more authentic sense of self.

I work with couples and individuals. Face to face work is possible in Clontarf on Wednesdays & Thursdays. I also see clients on Zoom on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. My times on these days include mornings, afternoon and evenings. I offer an initial brief fee free contact - I use this initial meeting for me to get some sense of what you want to achieve and for you to ask any questions you may have. If we decide to proceed with working together, I agree a short series of meetings before we review our work together - we may then decide that what has been achieved is sufficient or continue for a further series of sessions.

I'm a late diagnosed AuDHDer and I'm passionate about providing Neuro-affirming therapy to the LGBTQ+ community. Though I work with all couples, I focus on working with both the Kink and Polyamorous community, as they are under served by mainstream therapy.I have over a decade of volunteer experience in both communities, and came to this work to provide a safe therapeutic space for folks who need affirming practitioners to help them navigate their relationship needs. I have just completed a GSRD diploma to expand my clinical knowledge in working with my community. Other areas: chronic illness, fat positive, and sex worker positive

I am trained in a variety of techniques which I could list like Person Centred, or IFS, or CBT etc
Talking is medicine. I don't mean it's like medicine; I mean IT IS medicine. It heals. It gives clarity and perspective; It makes people feel better. I have been lucky enough to help and witness people change how they think and feel so that life feels easier - not so damn difficult all the time. I have seen the smiles on faces as lifelong emotional burdens are put down and life can be lived fully again. I have had the privilege of helping people from all walks of life deal with many types of issues; from the immediate, such as trouble with work, to challenges and issues whose roots stretch back to childhood.

I like to meet potential clients face-to-face at the beginning to have an exploratory chat and to see if they would like working with me. If so, I'm interested in listening and to really understand what challenges they are encountering. I love working with people to assist them along their life’s journey, whether it is managing their issues or finding greater purpose and meaning. I use my life experiences and my intuition to see what works best for them.

Psychotherapy for reflective adults navigating stress, transitions, and questions of meaning... Life can sometimes feel demanding or unsettled, even when things appear to be functioning well on the outside. You may be managing work, responsibilities, and relationships while feeling tense, depleted, disconnected, or quietly out of balance. You might be carrying past experiences and patterns that are difficult to make sense of on your own. You may have a sense that something needs attention, even if it is hard to name. Therapy can offer a steady space to slow down and listen more closely to what is happening beneath the surface.

I believe that the quality of your life is shaped by the relationship you have with yourself—and how that ripples into your relationships with others. When your inner world feels overwhelming, disconnected, or stuck, it’s not a personal failing. It’s often your nervous system doing its best to protect you. Therapy here is about gently understanding those patterns, not fighting them. You don’t need to have it all figured out to start. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply ready for something to shift, therapy can offer a place to land, to understand, and to grow.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Counsellors
What is Internal Family Systems therapy?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.

How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.

Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.

How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?
As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
