I offer in-person in a purpose built holistic & wellness centre & online
I believe in the power of healing. I believe in the power of therapy. I believe it can be very difficult to reach out and ask for help. I believe I can help, because I believe in peoples ability to change their lives for the better. I believe personal circumstances can make change seem a daunting task, but little by little, with the right support, it can be life changing. Why do I believe all these things? Because I was in a place where I needed healing and with the right person/people, I changed my life.

Hello...I'm Eoin! I completely understand the feelings of resistance that come up for people considering therapy...and for this reason, it's important for me to create a casual, non-clinical environment for my clients to feel safe and comfortable in. While helping you work through difficult personal challenges, big life decisions, lacking a sense of self or identity, deeply traumatic events etc...we'll also work towards you building healthier day-to-day habits by helping you understand why you experience the world the way you do through your thoughts and behaviours, as well as exploring the relationship you have with yourself.

I love how resourceful people can be. Most of us don't question who we are or how we got here until in a crisis or conflict. Therapy can be useful for many reasons; self acceptance, letting go of others expectations, difficulties in relationships, feeling stuck, a personal challenge, or just learning more about yourself. I love studying the science of human behaviour and understanding why we are the way we are. I combine psychology and science with psychotherapy in my approach. I work with a wide variety of issues, and have additional training in a number of areas, constantly developing the services I can offer.

I help people stuck in anxious thought loops—chronic worry, panic attacks, intrusive thoughts, OCD, or health anxiety. Before becoming a therapist, I spent nearly 20 years in the corporate world hiding my own anxiety. I know what it’s like to fear being “found out,” to overthink everything, and to feel never good enough. My approach combines CBT and ACT to help you understand your mind, manage anxious thinking, and build confidence. If anxiety is affecting your work, relationships, or peace of mind, we can work together to change that.

I work with couples and individuals, providing a neuro-affirmative, open approach. At any stage in life we can be met by challenges that interfere with our happiness and sense of wellbeing. Some of these challenges are caused by events like trauma, bereavement, a diagnosis of physical/mental illness or a relationship breakdown. Or, we may feel out of balance or sad, our thoughts are negative and we can't connect. Our relationships may be suffering. We are not sure what is causing this, we just know that we are not living a full life, something is missing or holding us back. Couples may be in crisis and wondering if they can last.

Hello. I am James Foley the provider of counselling at Prevail, a professional therapy service for the west of Dublin. I am keen to help those with emotional hurt and negative behaviours in my locality. After nearly 30 years of caring for the emotionally broken I now want to provide my services for those in my own locality. I do not discriminate working with a client based on their presentation. I adapt to the clients needs and personality in providing the service that suit them best. The relationship between the client and counsellor is what matters most in bringing about positive change, and empathic listening is key to this.

My own journey into psychology began with an interest into how we tick as human beings and why some of us seem to suffer and cope better than others. I soon realised that where I really needed to be was with people, helping them better understand and heal themselves. Now, as a qualified psychotherapist for many years, I not only get to do just that, but I also get to witness first-hand the courage and growth of my clients that is forever inspirational.
