Is anxiety impacting your life negatively? Do you obsess in your mind over events, thoughts, or feelings? Are you finding that you're stuck in patterns trying to escape yourself? These experiences are common issues for many people which can wreak havoc on all aspects of our lives, leaving us feeling exhausted and hopeless. Many try to cope as best as they can with these circumstances alone, but without proper support, may find themselves going around in circles with little relief and feeling trapped.

I work from an integrative perspective grounded in person centered therapy. I adapt the therapy to the needs of the individual while respecting their views and values. I believe that most individuals can heal, grow and find resources within in a supportive and non-judgemental environment. I will work with you in exploring issues from the past and how they are affecting you in the present. I will also help you with tools and resources to help you in the day to day. I have a special interest in working with all members of the adoption triad specifically around, loss rejection and a sense of identity.

It isn't always a major stressor or life event that impacts us but perhaps a chronic kind of wear and tear. Maybe you just feel a little off or suffer unrelenting tiredness. Each human has lived and experienced a life that no other will ever truly know and understand. You are the only one in every frame of your own life. What went before, impacts what is to come. Regardless of the circumstances, there is help available and you are most certainly not alone. I offer Saturday appointments for those who find it difficult to fit counselling sessions in during the work week.

As a neurodivergent therapist with a late ADHD diagnosis, I bring both lived insight and clinical experience to my work. I understand firsthand how differently brains can work - and how important it is to feel seen and understood in therapy. I also have experience supporting clients across a broad range of relationship styles - including monogamous and non-monogamous relationship dynamics, and I offer a non-judgmental space to explore whatever is coming up in your relational world.

Hi, I’m Liza, a qualified and accredited psychotherapist offering therapy for adults across Ireland. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, grief, infertility, relationship difficulties, and abuse. Having lived abroad for a number of years also helps me understand what it's like to move to a new country or return home Sometimes life asks us to carry more than feels possible, grief, loss, fertility struggles, relationship pain, adoption journeys, or past trauma. It can feel very lonely holding it all on your own. When working with clients, I go gently, at your pace, helping you feel supported, understood, and less alone.

“I provide an opportunity for people to share how they are feeling within a safe, empathic, and non-judgemental environment. I use my skills, education, and training, together with my life experience to support clients within my practice. I work with clients presenting with a variety of issues including loss and grief, critical illness, loss of meaning in life, relationship issues, mother-daughter difficulties, complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, women’s reproductive issues and many others. As therapy progresses, I often find that presenting issues change as the relationship unfolds, and this too can be part of the process".

Hi, I am very much a Person-Centred / Humanistic Counsellor who allows the client to explore their issues and find their own way forward. I believe that sometimes we just need to stop and breath and allow ourselves the space to explore what’s next for us. I understand that counselling is not a 'one size fits all' process so I work on an integrated basis with the client to explore the therapies that will work for them. I have a special interest in bereavement as I have been working with clients who have lost loved ones during the Covid-19 pandemic. My own history of loss has helped me a great deal in this area.

What should I expect from rational emotive behaviour therapy?
The therapist will work with the individual to recognise rigid thought patterns that sabotage goals and set them back. The objective is to identify, challenge and reframe negative thoughts and enable an individual to understand that they possess control over their emotions and their behaviour. This therapy often emphasises the use of reasoning and self-direction.

Is rational emotive behaviour therapy effective?
Rational emotive behaviour therapy is evidence-based and is highly effective. It helps a person reframe self-defeating or catastrophising thoughts thoughts and gives them tools to approach a range of circumstances they may encounter post-therapy as well. REBT can bring a person lifelong change, with higher levels of satisfaction, less stress, as well as positive emotional and behavioural habits.

When do I know if I need treatment with rational emotive behaviour therapy?
If an individual’s mind is filled with rigid, unreasonable thoughts that dwell in negativity, they may feel stuck. A rational emotive behaviour therapist can help a person examine and change their thinking patterns as well as their behaviour. This concise and concrete therapy can provide an individual with the coping skills needed for a healthier and more constructive life.

How long does rational emotive behaviour therapy last?
REBT therapy treatment is short-term and focused in nature. It can last for a set number of sessions, ending within a few weeks or months. Like any type of therapy, however, sessions depend on the individual, as well as the severity of their condition or problem. The individual may wish to ask the therapist about typical progress and how long they expect treatment to take.
