I decided to train as a professional counsellor after my own experience with depression. It's such an incredible privilege to be able to use my own life experiences to help others. Whichever way we work together, the relationship between us will be what enables the changes you wish to make and I will consistently offer empathy and support, no matter how difficult some of the things we deal with may be, and to be honest and upfront with you. This will help to nurture an environment in which you feel truly heard, valued, and empowered to make positive change.

I aim to provide the assistance an individual needs to process what is either currently in their lives or in their past, thereby enabling them to live a more flexible and fulfilling life .
In most people's lives there comes a time when they need support to work out long-term issues. Or perhaps they have met with stresses in their relationships or at work. Often we struggle on, relying on family or friends. Sometimes we turn to strategies that worked for us before, but no longer seem to help us with our pain. We may feel depressed, anxious, isolated and unable to see a way out for ourselves. Perhaps we begin to experience the unnerving feeling of a panic attack. Or we may find ourselves overusing alcohol, struggling with food, spending or other addictions.

Sometimes life can be challenging and can lead to us feeling anxious, stressed and overwhelmed. The first step is recognising that you’re struggling. The second is to look for help. As daunting as this feels, this can be a huge weight off your mind. It will help you take back your power and put yourself back in control. My aim is to lighten your burden, help you feel proactive again and instil hope for the future. I use an Integrative Therapy approach, combining Person-Centred, Humanistic and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). What you can expect is a warm, compassionate, confidential and non-judgemental space.

I love helping my clients develop the tools they need to cope with all of life ’s challenges.
I implement effective psychotherapy methods to instill self-understanding among clients and encourage them to adopt new attitudes and feelings towards life situations. It is essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a magic pill or a quick fix: therapy is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the client and counselor alike. But in the end, making small changes to self-defeating behavior and coping with feelings of sadness, fear, and pain can bring life -altering results. Our therapy sessions can either be in English or in Romanian.

Life Coaching Counsellors

What can I expect from life coaching?

Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?

Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?

Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?

Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
