You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or facing something that feels difficult to manage alone. I provide therapeutic support to individuals and couples navigating a range of emotional and life experiences. You might find yourself coping on the outside, while feeling more overwhelmed underneath. I have a particular focus on supporting those navigating fertility and reproductive health challenges, where the emotional impact can often feel isolating and difficult to share. My approach is humanistic and integrative, offering a safe, non-judgemental space to explore and understand your experiences.

I work with adolescent girls and adult women who are finding life emotionally overwhelming or feel as though they have lost touch with who they are. My clients struggle with anxiety, low self-esteem, perfectionism, people-pleasing, difficult relationships, emotional regulation, or the lasting impact of childhood experiences. They often describe feeling "stuck" in familiar patterns, putting others first, or carrying a harsh inner critic that leaves them feeling exhausted and never quite good enough.

I am especially interested in the impact of infertility, sexuality, and identity, and how these themes can shape a person’s inner world and relationships.
My integrative approach is client-led and responsive. Depending on the needs of the individual, I may may draw on psychodynamic and object relations theory, explore attachment patterns, or bring a trauma-informed and body-oriented perspective. I place the therapeutic relationship at the heart of the work, while staying flexible and attuned to you.

Clive works with people experiencing a range of symptoms, particularly Depersonalisation and Derealisation. He works in an individual way to meet the needs of a person, focusing on what is brought to find the underlying cause of the issue. “I work with what is known to find what is unknown to the individual. If you are finding life difficult, it's okay; we will find a way to the root of the symptoms. Being listened to and truly heard by a qualified psychotherapist can bring change and restoration to a person.

During journey of our life we come across many challenges, some posed by external environment, some by our internal environment. We manage most of them by our coping mechanisms and problem solving skills. I believe everyone of us has the capacity to deal with our external / internal environment using our strengths / values / attitudes / communication to name a few. According to Carl Rogers we are on a continued path of becoming a person. In order to achieve this, self awareness becomes one of the most important factor. I consider myself privileged to to have accompanied my clients on their journey of their becoming..

Hi, I’m Monika. I am a qualified therapist, holding a First Class Honours degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from IICP College in Dublin, and I am a pre-accredited member of the IACP. I work with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, stress, bereavement and loss, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. At the heart of my work is a deep interest in trauma and attachment — and how early experiences can shape the way we relate to ourselves and others, including patterns that may contribute to anxious–avoidant dynamics or co-dependent relationships.

My work is guided by the understanding that many emotional patterns and life challenges develop quietly over time, often outside of our immediate awareness. As Carl Jung wrote, “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.” In therapy, we gently explore these underlying patterns together, helping you gain insight into how past experiences, emotions, and beliefs may be shaping your present life.

Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns that are difficult to understand, or finding yourself disconnected from who you are? Perhaps you are struggling in relationships, navigating a life transition, or coping with loss. I offer a warm, safe, and non-judgemental space where you can explore what is happening for you at your own pace. Infertility Counsellors
How can infertility affect couples and their relationship?
Clients who are dealing with infertility may experience conflict and communication problems. It’s not unusual for shame, blame, and guilt to arise in cases of infertility, whether the source of the problem is one partner or both. This means that clients are upset and pulling away from their partner just when they need them the most. Some clients may find it difficult to spend time around friends and family who are pregnant. Friends and family can also make hurtful comments that increase tension during this time.

How does therapy for infertility issues work?
The therapist will begin by gathering information about the client or couple and make a treatment plan for their specific concerns. In addition to addressing common mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, and trauma reactions or PTSD, therapists can help clients improve their decision-making and deal with stressors unique to infertility. Some examples include coping with the “two-week wait” before a pregnancy test, the distress associated with a failed attempt or miscarriage, and the shame and blame sometimes associated with reproductive concerns.

What type of therapy is best for infertility issues?
Many therapists offer psychotherapy for individuals and couples who are dealing with infertility issues. Some helpful therapeutic approaches include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), which can aid clients in reframing negative thoughts about their situation. Expressive writing and art therapy can help clients process difficult feelings. Clients might also benefit from group therapy to experience support from others who are dealing with the same problems.

How long does therapy for infertility issues take?
There is no set length for therapy that addresses infertility or reproductive concerns. Some clients might find it helpful to continue therapy during their pregnancy to have healthy ways to cope with any associated stress, anxiety, depression, or trauma. Some clients who decide not to pursue fertility treatments might benefit from the support of a therapist. The duration of therapy varies depending on the individual client’s specific needs and goals.
