I am committed to life-long learning and so far I have trained in psychology, psychoanalysis, psychotherapy and hypnotherapy.
Our world is full of shoulds and we often end up doing things out of a sense of obligation or in an attempt to avoid feelings of guilt. This can lead to a sense of unease, anxiety, stress, panic attacks and the fear. I give you space to think and figure out what you really want, when you do this you are able to see choices and understand yourself better.

Hello and welcome. I offer highly personalised, deeply integrative support for a small number of individuals and families navigating life after a neurodivergent identification (e.g. Autistic, ADHD). I’m the founder and leader of Thriving Autistic, a global nonprofit supporting neurodivergent adults in 19 countries. My work sits at the intersection of psychology, sensory awareness, relational clarity, and systems change. I work especially well with individuals whose lives are layered, high-stakes, or in significant transition — including senior leaders, professionals, and those seeking more than traditional therapy alone can offer.

Welcome to Next Step Therapy, an experienced and friendly therapy practice in the heart of Dublin. Our clinical services are: counselling and psychotherapy, addiction assessment and treatment, EMDR for PTSD and complex trauma. I see my therapy room as a sacred space where people can explore things they usually don’t talk about. I approach therapy with an attentive reverence and an attitude of kindness and compassion. The process of therapy is to offer a safe place to explore and name and then change, or accept, these thoughts, attitudes, feelings, moods or behaviours and to experience someone who listens and supports.

Hypnotherapy lends a unique insight into healing as it provides a direct line to the subconscious, which often bypasses the resistance we encounter with other talking therapies.
My passion is encouraging & empowering women: Helping women to recognise their own strengths and heal the trauma that has been holding them back. Gentle self-exploration and prioritising the relationship with self are key aspects of my way of working. I strive to provide a professional, holistic relationship that is free from shame and judgement. Visit my website for more information.

My approach combines Transactional Analysis counselling and Hypnotherapy.
I help high-achieving women struggling with anxiety, burnout, overthinking, and self-doubt finally feel calm, confident, and in control. You're capable, driven, respected. But inside? There's a quiet, exhausting pressure that never switches off. Replaying conversations over and over again, second-guessing, and not trusting yourself, trying to do everything "perfectly " and being afraid of making mistakes. Here's what we might work on: breaking the patterns keeping you stuck in self-doubt, building self-worth that doesn't depend on your next achievement, and quieting the mental noise so you can actually switch off.

I use a variety of techniques: Coaching, NLP, Mindfulness , Hypnotherapy-Psychotherapy, Amygdales Depotentiation (Havening Techniques) & more so you can choose to do what you know at some level you really can.
Because we now know that continuous stress can seriously contribute to promoting illnesses as time goes by - I help my clients to take back control over their reactions to their life's stresses. Most of our life we run on auto-pilot because we think we are to busy to change, thus allowing our habits, behaviours, reactions to control us! I help you become more aware, to broaden your perspective, create more empowering options which are right for you. In the process you get to remember your strengths, achievements, talents, skills, to draw on helping you get out of the rut and propel you forward.

Hypnotherapy Therapists
How does hypnotherapy work?
Hypnotherapy works by using guided hypnosis to help you reach a state of focus and concentration through mental imagery and soothing verbal repetition. The state is somewhat like being absorbed in a book, a movie, or your own thoughts. You are not under a therapist’s “control,” but they can help you relax and turn your attention inward to discover the resources to achieve behavior change or better manage psychological concerns. Therapy sessions may involve guiding you through recognizing a problem, releasing problematic thoughts about it, and considering and accepting more productive alternatives before returning to normal awareness. Hypnotherapy is typically used by a therapist along with traditional forms of talk therapy. Eventually, your therapist can help you learn hypnotherapy techniques yourself so you can establish a stronger sense of control on your own in stressful or challenging moments.

Is hypnotherapy the same as hypnosis?
Hypnotherapy, which is sometimes called hypnotic suggestion, is a therapeutic technique in which a therapist uses hypnosis to help patients. It is not the kind of hypnosis portrayed in stage shows, or in movies or on television. You will not be unconscious or asleep during hypnotherapy, you will not lose control of yourself, your thoughts, or your free will, and you will be able to fully recall your experience. And while you will hear your therapist’s suggestions, it is always up to you to decide whether to act on them. Hypnosis by a trained mental-health professional is not a form of mind control, which is impossible to achieve anyway.

Can everyone be hypnotized?
The most common challenge of hypnotherapy is that as many as one in four people cannot be hypnotized. Brain imaging has confirmed differences in patterns of brain connectivity between those who respond to hypnotism and those who do not. Other people who could potentially be hypnotized may not respond to the technique because of their skepticism or resistance to entering a hypnotic state. If a therapist’s “post-hypnotic suggestion” is effective, it’s because they are suggesting something you want to achieve.

Does hypnotherapy work?
Through hypnotherapy, you can achieve changes that are real and sustainable. Like other talk therapy techniques, when hypnotherapy succeeds, it’s a case of mind over matter. Effective hypnotherapy involves self-healing because you access resources you need to change inside of yourself and learn how to tap into them whenever you need. Hypnotherapy has been shown to be an effective therapy for anxiety, phobias, stress, panic attacks, post-traumatic stress disorder, sexual dysfunction, and undesirable behaviors like smoking. It can be used to help improve sleep or to address relationship challenges, and to aid with pain management, digestive disorders, skin conditions, and the gastrointestinal side effects of pregnancy or chemotherapy.
