Counselling and psychotherapy focus on relieving the burden of mental health difficulties, where healing and discovering occurs through talking. Through talk therapy, we can find a new perspective on life, gain awareness and balance, and carry changes that may have been difficult to implement in the past. I truly believe in the healing power of telling our own story in a safe, emphatic and non-judgmental space.

I work with couples and individuals, providing a neuro-affirmative, open approach. At any stage in life we can be met by challenges that interfere with our happiness and sense of wellbeing. Some of these challenges are caused by events like trauma, bereavement, a diagnosis of physical/mental illness or a relationship breakdown. Or, we may feel out of balance or sad, our thoughts are negative and we can't connect. Our relationships may be suffering. We are not sure what is causing this, we just know that we are not living a full life, something is missing or holding us back. Couples may be in crisis and wondering if they can last.

You might be facing a major change, whether anticipated or unexpected - becoming a parent, going through breakup, adjusting to a new culture, or questioning your sense of self. You may feel stuck or overwhelmed. Many people I work with want to feel more at ease with themselves, even if they’re not sure how. Together we can move toward greater clarity, acceptance, and confidence, so you can live with more freedom to be who you are - welcoming your quirks, contradictions and all the parts of you that don’t always make sense, but still belong.

OCD, anxiety, and depression etc have urges that ignore our inner values; together we will explore what life would be like if trusting yourself and quieting the loud thoughts and overwhelming emotions occurred. So if you’r feeling off, being hard on yourself or facing a difficult time, we can understand where these feelings and thoughts arose from.. and importantly what may help you. Therapy is a safe space that offers you the chance for self-acceptance, and even self-care. Clients often note that I’m simultaneously the least judgmental and caring therapists, and we will take culture and context into consideration/ from California.
