I work with women that feel stuck, particularly in relationships or professional situations that have them feeling overwhelmed, overlooked, unappreciated or undervalued. I help them release any latent beliefs or stories that are holding them back and reconnect to their most powerful and successful selves with a renewed sense of identity, a vision for how they'd like their life to be and the ability to reach their potential to get there.

I work as a counselling psychologist and a couples therapist. It is my privilege to accompany my clients in making a positive impact on their lives and moving towards their goals. I offer a non-judgmental space where they can explore their inner landscape and reconnect with their feelings, needs, resources, helping them to break old patterns and to create the life they really want. I am enthusiastic about embodied approaches as I see the body as a powerful tool for self-awareness, self-expression and a domain of change. I help people experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress, and symptoms of trauma among others.

Creativity can be joyous while also bringing us into contact with things like self-doubt, fear, blocks, fatigue, and sometimes crossroads around work and career choices.
The way I work is guided by the values of curiosity, creativity, and compassion. My aim is to offer you a freeing, non-judgemental environment where you can really be yourself; a safe space where you are encouraged to explore, question and grow in your own time; where every experience, feeling and part of you is welcome, particularly those ones that have been out in cold. At the start, the process can be like a ball of yarn, with many different threads tangled together. We will collaborate to unravel these threads, weaving them into something that makes more sense and is hopefully more manageable.

You feel different, and you have for a long time. You have carried silence, or shame, or questions that never quite let go. Many of the people I work with are queer, neurodiverse, or moving through change that feels heavier than they let on. Together we step outside the box of just talking. We cannot always think our way out of what hurts, we have to feel it, move with it, and live our way into something new. Beginning therapy takes courage. If you would like to start, I offer a free 15 minute consultation,

Therapy must feel safe before it can be productive. To this end, I initially attempt to provide a sense of ease in counseling sessions. From there, I generally like to see if the client and myself can collaboratively identify what might be some goals. These goals can be anything from wishing to feel less anxious, sad, irritable, troubled, to addressing relationship difficulties at home or at work, to trying to better understand a feeling of being unfulfilled, or to think or feel differently about the past. In many cases, it is plenty to just to have a safe place to discuss anything at all in a confidential, non-judgemental setting.

You may be living with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or a sense of disconnection from yourself. Perhaps you notice repeating patterns rooted in earlier life experiences or childhood trauma, and you’re seeking a deeper understanding of what’s beneath them. You want therapy to feel safe, steady, and meaningful- not rushed or surface-level, so you can develop greater self-compassion, emotional regulation, and a stronger connection to who you truly are.

I offer a safe heart centred space to help my clients unpack at a gentle pace that suits them. No problem is too small to bring to counselling. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, and relationship problems. Sessions can be weekly or fortnightly to match your requirements. I have a wide range of training and approaches such as choice therapy, Positive thinking, meditation, mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, and shamanism.

Career Guidance Counsellors
How do I know if I need career counselling?
Determining whether a career counsellor is needed involves assessing one's current career and identifying what changes can be made to improve one's overall quality of life. In particular, feelings of loss of motivation, fatigue, anxiety, depression, procrastination, or ongoing levels of high stress can all be indicative of a need for career-related counselling. In addition, individuals changing jobs may want the decision-making support or self-reflection opportunities provided by a career counsellor.

Who can benefit from career counselling?
Anyone can benefit from the self-reflection, skill development, and stress management techniques that career counselling can provide. However, individuals who are feeling overwhelmed or burnt out with their current job and individuals considering a major career change may particularly benefit from career counselling to improve their wellbeing. Additionally, individuals who are facing issues in their current job, such as coworker relationship challenges or not meeting performance goals, may benefit from the perspective that a career counsellor can provide. College-age or young professionals may also uniquely benefit from career counselling as they make key decisions surrounding education and job training that will impact their career trajectory.

How long does career counselling typically last?
The length of career counselling can vary greatly depending on the needs of the individual and what type of support they are seeking Career coaching or advising services—which serve clients in a specific, goal-oriented capacity—often last for a shorter duration and are sometimes only a single session or a few sessions in length. In contrast, career counselling as part of a more integrative therapeutic relationship with a counsellor may last longer, particularly if the issues faced by the client are longstanding and/or more complex in nature; in such cases, individuals may expect therapy to last multiple months or longer.

How to prepare for career counselling?
Clients can prepare for career counselling sessions by outlining the specific topics they would like to address with the counsellor, such as current job challenges or hopes for the future of their career. Compiling one's thoughts on such topics often requires reflection on one's career and future goals, which in itself can be beneficial for session preparation. Clients may also want to put together a list of questions they would like to ask the counsellor, particularly if the career counsellor they are seeing has particular expertise in a given career area. Conducting research into potential future jobs, training opportunities, or support resources in one's area may also help clients prepare for career counselling by providing them with a background of what resources are available in their area.
