The ideal environment is one that both supports & challenges us. Too often we go without both of these conditions. A Life Coach will tease out and help you create your vision of what you really want your life to be. If everything in your life stays status quo, you will head into a default future. We need another perspective if not we tend to go around repeating our default patterns and getting nowhere. As a Transformational Life Coach Linda will support you to become the successful and truly happy person you know you are meant to be.

My wish for each client is that they be well. Every client comes to therapy with different needs. With strong foundations in somatic, emotional and cognitive therapies, I also offer the swifter interventions of Hypnotherapy and NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming). Some clients want a quick fix, some want to explore and experience personal development. Some clients are top down, and others are bottom up. Some clients just need to talk, some don’t want to talk at all. Recognising these needs in how I work with each individual client is essential.

You might find yourself wondering, “why do I keep feeling this way?” or “why do I react like this, even when I don’t want to?” Hi, I’m Victoria. I work with people who feel stuck in patterns that don’t fully make sense, often in their self-worth, relationships, emotions, or the way they respond to life's challenges. You may be struggling with anxiety, low mood, people pleasing, a strong inner critic, or a sense that something hasn’t shifted, despite your efforts to move forward. Sometimes our past can continue to play out in the present until it is gently brought into awareness and processed.

I am a psychotherapist specialising in trauma, and I use Somatic Experiencing (SE) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapies to support healing. My therapy space is designed to feel calm, safe, and welcoming. I am also lucky to have the company of Nanuk and Oscar, my dogs, who have a wonderfully grounding presence in the room. Many clients find that having them nearby adds an extra layer of comfort and ease — particularly when working through difficult or intense emotions. Sessions are collaborative and client-led. YOU are always in control.

Let's begin with a chat over a cup of ... what ever you fancy. My purpose is to help heal, teach and train people when they need some guidance in their life. As human beings, we all know what it's like to feel lost, confused or disconnected. When this feeling occurs, it is our mind and bodies way of trying to tell us that it's time to explore. To explore more about yourselves and to evolve. So.. let's begin with a chat and take it from there

I take a humanistic view of counselling and wellness. I believe each person has the innate capacity to heal and craft a life of meaning and fulfillment; however, this potential can sometimes be hindered—by open wounds from the past, fears about the future, or a sense of being stuck in an unfulfilling present. While diagnostic language can be useful and sometimes necessary, I approach human suffering through a non-pathologizing lens. Rather than reducing people to symptoms or labels, I offer a collaborative, client-centered approach—one that honours your individuality and emphasizes authentic connection, curiosity, and care.

You may be capable and self-aware, yet still feel overwhelmed, detached or stuck. Relationships may feel intense or confusing. Perhaps you have been told you are too sensitive, too much, or overthinking. You might wonder why you react so strongly, struggle with rejection, or feel successful on paper but internally dysregulated. I work with adults navigating neurodivergence, including ADHD and autistic identity, Rejection Sensitivity, shame, personality patterns, attachment wounds, trauma and identity shifts. Together, we make sense of what is happening in your nervous system and create something more workable.

Sexual Abuse Counsellors
How do therapists treat sexual abuse?
A good therapist will be nonjudgmental and possibly demonstrate active listening, repeating back what the client says to show that they have understood. These skills allow people to feel comfortable discussing their traumatic experiences openly. Some important treatment goals are to restore a sense of safety and to rebuild confidence. In addition to working one-on-one with the patient, a therapist might bring in supportive family members to assist the client.

Do you have to talk extensively about sexual abuse in therapy?
Survivors frequently find it difficult to describe what happened to them out loud. They can even still be in a state of denial if the sexual abuse occurred recently. It is important for survivors to acknowledge that what happened isn’t their fault and to challenge and reappraise any unhealthy feelings or thoughts as they arise. Art therapy and play therapy are useful non-verbal means of communication for some survivors.

How long does treatment for sexual abuse take?
Recovery from sexual abuse can be a long and difficult process. Some survivors are able to move on naturally on their own, given time, while others require the guidance of a trained therapist. Therapy needs vary and can range from a few sessions to months or even years. Healing from sexual abuse takes time, and everyone’s journey will look a little different.

Can trauma symptoms caused by sexual abuse come back after treatment?
As occurs in many cases of trauma, survivors of sexual abuse may experience PTSD-like symptoms long after the abuse has ceased or after an initial round of treatment has occurred. In such a case, there is evidence that prolonged exposure therapy is a useful treatment for survivors, and may be more efficacious than supportive counseling alone. While triggers may continue to cause distress, the idea is that, with time and repeated exposure, their power will fade, allowing survivors to move on with their lives.
