Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck in old patterns, or finding it hard to navigate your emotions or relationship with food? You don't have to do this alone. I work with adults and adolescents, offering a warm, grounded, judgment-free space where you can feel heard, supported, and understood. My approach is integrative and psychodynamic, meaning I work with you at a deeper level to make sense of your experiences, while also drawing on evidence-based tools like CBT-E for eating disorders and trauma-informed interventions.

My wish for each client is that they be well. Every client comes to therapy with different needs. With strong foundations in somatic, emotional and cognitive therapies, I also offer the swifter interventions of Hypnotherapy and NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming). Some clients want a quick fix, some want to explore and experience personal development. Some clients are top down, and others are bottom up. Some clients just need to talk, some don’t want to talk at all. Recognising these needs in how I work with each individual client is essential.

You might find yourself wondering, “why do I keep feeling this way?” or “why do I react like this, even when I don’t want to?” Hi, I’m Victoria. I work with people who feel stuck in patterns that don’t fully make sense, often in their self-worth, relationships or emotions. You may be experiencing anxiety or low mood, but also a deeper sense that something hasn’t shifted, despite your efforts to move forward. Being human can feel messy, especially if you’ve experienced past hurts or trauma. I offer a calm, compassionate space where you can feel heard, understood, and able to be yourself without judgement.

The ideal environment is one that both supports & challenges us. Too often we go without both of these conditions. A Life Coach will tease out and help you create your vision of what you really want your life to be. If everything in your life stays status quo, you will head into a default future. We need another perspective if not we tend to go around repeating our default patterns and getting nowhere. As a Transformational Life Coach Linda will support you to become the successful and truly happy person you know you are meant to be.

All of us at some time or another find life overwhelming and difficult to navigate. Coming into psychotherapy and counselling can feel both anxiety provoking and deeply relieving. I believe that the person who makes the decision to come for therapy is both brave and courageous. You are deciding that you want your life to be different to how it is. When you want to find a different way forward with whatever issue is bothering you or indeed tired of the same repeating issues coming your way, therapy can really help you change the way you relate to yourself and others.

Primarily I work from a humanistic, integrative and trauma informed approach. I like to meet people where they are at. I have found, both personally and professionally, any expression of a struggling part of the self provides us with an opportunity to learn, heal and thrive. I have seen this pave the way for very liberating experiences for clients - both adolescents and adults, and something I consistently strive to harness in the work. I have a keen interest in working with the shadow, or darker aspects of the self.

I have been working with clients since 2006 and my aim is always to offer a space for each client, adolescent or adult, to feel comfortable and safe. It is important to me to offer an experience of ease and flow to the client. I work in a non-judgement and real way which I have found leads the client into a relaxed place within themselves. I am holistically focused, so this means I have quite a few tools in the toolbox to approach the various topics or issues which arise in each session. My motto is Answering the Call of The Heart and embody this in my everyday practice and that spills into my work in the therapy room.

It is hard to describe what psychotherapy is really like. One of us, Jonathan Shedler describes it well. "We are changing life patterns. There is no path from Point A to Point B that does not traverse the unknown Real transformation occurs when patient and therapist can enter and embrace that unknown Perhaps it is like ancient sailors setting out to sea in search of a new and distant land—but uncertain how far they might have to travel before they once again set foot on solid earth, or what they might find when they get there" There is no substitute for meeting face to face though. And proceeding or not from there.

Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or just not yourself lately? Maybe you’re grieving. Maybe you’re stuck in stress or burnout. Or maybe you can’t explain it - only that something feels off. Therapy gives you time and space to look at what’s happening beneath the surface. We’ll talk through what you’re feeling, where it might be coming from, and what could help things shift. Whether you have a clear goal or just a sense that something needs to change, this is a place to start unpacking it - at your pace, in your own way.

Are you stuck in patterns you don't understand, held back by anxiety, difficult relationships, or a persistent feeling that something is "off"? These struggles are not flaws, but messages. My role is to help you listen to them. As a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist, I provide a confidential, non-judgmental space to explore the roots of your distress, which often lie in unconscious thoughts, memories, and repeated patterns. Together, we will work to uncover the ‘why’ behind your struggles—whether they involve trauma, identity, sexuality, or a longing for change—so you can move forward with greater freedom and clarity.

I specialise in maternal mental health and supporting mothers. Many of the mothers I work with feel overwhelmed, anxious, lonely, or unsure of who they are since becoming a parent. They’re not necessarily “depressed,” but they know something feels off. They want to understand themselves again, ease the pressure they’re under, and find language for an experience that has left them stretched, tender, and changed.

FAQ - Therapist Gender
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.

Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
