I also work with anxiety, low self-esteem, stress, burnout, trauma themes, grief, boundary issues, and intrusive thoughts.
Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck in old patterns, or finding it hard to navigate your emotions or relationship with food? You don't have to do this alone. I work with adults and adolescents, offering a warm, grounded, judgment-free space where you can feel heard, supported, and understood. My approach is integrative and psychodynamic, meaning I work with you at a deeper level to make sense of your experiences, while also drawing on evidence-based tools like CBT-E for eating disorders and trauma-informed interventions.

My wish for each client is that they be well. Every client comes to therapy with different needs. With strong foundations in somatic, emotional and cognitive therapies, I also offer the swifter interventions of Hypnotherapy and NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming). Some clients want a quick fix, some want to explore and experience personal development. Some clients are top down, and others are bottom up. Some clients just need to talk, some don’t want to talk at all. Recognising these needs in how I work with each individual client is essential.

The ideal environment is one that both supports & challenges us. Too often we go without both of these conditions. A Life Coach will tease out and help you create your vision of what you really want your life to be. If everything in your life stays status quo, you will head into a default future. We need another perspective if not we tend to go around repeating our default patterns and getting nowhere. As a Transformational Life Coach Linda will support you to become the successful and truly happy person you know you are meant to be.

If you’re someone who looks like you’re coping on the outside, but inside feels overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected, this might be for you. Many of the people who reach out to me say some version of the same thing: “I’m holding everything together, but it’s getting harder. I don’t really know what I need, just that something isn’t working anymore.” You might be putting others first, struggling to set boundaries, or feeling unsure of what you think or feel. On the outside, you may seem “fine,” but inside, you’re carrying more than you know how to manage.

I have a particular interest in supporting people who are experiencing grief, bereavement, or other forms of loss.
My approach is integrative and tailored to each client, meaning our work is shaped around you, your needs, and what feels most helpful. Alongside active listening and reflection, I may introduce psychoeducation and practical tools to help increase self-awareness and manage distress. At times, our work may also help you notice patterns or perspectives that could be keeping you stuck, creating new ways of understanding yourself and responding to difficult situations.

Both internships offered psychotherapeutic intervention using Art psychotherapy for service users presenting with trauma-related symptoms, attachment deficits, depression, anxiety, ADHD, separation and loss.
Young people experiencing emotional and behavioural disturbances can find it challenging to communicate or understand why they feel this way. The process of Child Art Psychotherapy can benefit in many ways as it is relational and fosters consistency and containment. The psychoanalytic and psychodynamic approach of Art Psychotherapy incorporates verbal and non-verbal communication to gain insight into the child's thoughts and beliefs systems. The focus of therapy is to understand the unconscious material that influences behaviour and emotions in order to foster change and promote healthy psychological functioning.

You might have gone through a difficult experience, childbirth, a medical event, a relationship breakdown, grief, addiction or something you can’t quite name and since then, you haven’t felt like yourself.
I work with adults who are living with anxiety and trauma responses and are emotionally overwhelmed, especially when those experiences have gone unrecognised or unsupported. Many of my clients are thoughtful, capable people who minimise their own distress and struggle quietly.

Bereavement Counsellors
How long does therapy take for grief?
There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.

When should you seek therapy for grief?
Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.

Can grief be managed without therapy?
Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.

What happens if grief is left untreated?
Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
